How to crochet round and round without finishing each round
In this DROPS video we show how you can crochet round and round without finishing each round. We have already crocheted a chain stitches row and start the video how to form them into a ring with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch. Then work 2 chain stitches (replacing the first half-double crochet), 1 half-double crochet in each of the remaining chain stitches, 2 half-double crochets around the 2 chain stitches at the beginning of the round. Insert 1 marker-thread at the beginning of the round to show where it begins and work round and round without finishing each round. On round 2 work the first double crochet in the 2nd chain stitch from the beginning of first round, then work 1 double crochet in each half-double crochet. This round is not finished in the usual way, the first double crochet in next round is worked in the first double crochet from previous round. Then continue round and round with 1 double crochet in each double crochet. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. You must read a pattern with this technique to be able to follow this video properly. You’ll find pattern by clicking on the pictures below.
