Crochet: Decorative stripes to «Union Jack»

Decorate the flag with sl st worked through head band at the end as follows: Insert hook through piece in edge st on corner on one of the blue sections, get the red yarn from the under side and pull it through work, skip one st. * Insert hook through piece, get the yarn from the under side and pull it up and through st on hook *, repeat from *-* diagonally until the red cross.
