Relief Crochet

Also called Raised Crochet. You can create a relief texture on a crochet piece by working in the front and back post of a stitch. In our video we are working every other stitch as a normal dc, and every other st as a relief dc stitch. Start with a row of regular dc. On next row we are working "1 dc, 1 relief dc in front post", on 3rd row we are working the relief sts in the back post. This creates a rib texture on the right side. Another popular texture in relief sts are called basket weave, we have a separate video for that.

Crochet: Double treble cable (relief stitch)

In this DROPS video we show how to work treble (tr) cable after a chart. We have already worked 1 round with dc and start the video with 3 chain stitch (ch) and 6 dc (speeding) before we start with the chart. RELIEF: When working 1 relief dc it is to work around 1 st from previous round (do not work in loops but around the dc from front). 2 TR CABLE: Skip 1 dc, 1 relief tr around next dc, 1 relief tr around dc skipped. How to work relief-double crochets, front and back on a piece

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet relief-double both in front and back on a piece after charts, so that it forms a rib pattern. This technique is used in the «Snow Textures» headband in DROPS 204-33. This headband is crocheted in DROPS Air, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. How to work a 2 relif-quadruple treble crochets together

How to crochet a texture cable

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet a texture pattern that is forms like a cable, used in the Blushing Embers sweater in DROPS 206-33. First we easy show how to crochet a chain stitch rings with 8 chain stitches and 1 slip stitch, that later will be put together to a cable. We work double crochet between the chain stitch rings. Then we show how to crochet the chain stitch rings together so it becomes a cable. At the end we show how to work the cables with a slip stitch so it fastened to the round with double crochet. How to crochet a textured pattern

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet the textured pattern to the cloths in DROPS Extra 0-1396. We work with a smaller number of stitches than it says in the pattern and we show the beginning, 1st row, A.1, A.2 (3 reports) and A.3 1 time in height. How to crochet a waffle pattern

In this DROPS video we show you how to crochet an easy waffle pattern. This pattern can be used in for example cloths, pot holders or blankets. Start by chaining a row with a number of stitches multiple with 3 + 4. In the video we chain a row with 15+4. Work 19 chain stitch. Row 1: Work 1 double crochet in the 2nd chain stitch from the hook, 1 double crochet in each of the next 17 chain stitch, 2 chain stitch and turn. Row 2: Work 1 double crochet in the 1st / next double crochet, 1 double crochet around the double crochet from the last row, and then 1 double crochet in each of the 2 next double crochet , repeat - until there is 1 stitch left, finish with 1 double crochet in the 2nd chain stitch. Work 2 chain stitch and turn. Row 3: Work 1 double crochet in the 1st / next double crochet, 1 double crochet around each of the 2 next double crochet from the last row repeat -, until there is 1 stitch left, finish with 1 double crochet in the 2nd chain stitch. Work 2 chain stitch and turn. Repeat row 2 and 3 until wanted size. Finish with 1 double crochet in each double crochet from last row. In the video we use the yarn DROPS Snow.
