How to work the wrist-wamers with cables in DROPS 234-55

In this DROPS video we show how to work the left wrist-warmer with cable in DROPS 234-55. We have already cast on 50 stitches and worked the rib for 2 cm = 3/4" (knit 1 twisted / purl 1). Then we show: 1) How the 12 stitches from A.1 are worked. 2) How to insert the marker thread after 38 stitches. - Then continue with pattern and stockinette stitch around. 3) How the 3rd round in chart A.1 is knitted (the cable with cable needle). 4) How to decrease the first time on each side of the marker thread (when the work measures 3 cm = 1 1/8"). - Then work A.1 2 times in height + the first 3 rounds of A.1. 5) How to put a marker in the 6th stitch in A.1 and how to work the pattern while increasing on each side of the stitch with a marker. On the next round, knit the yarn over twisted and pattern as before. Then continue with the pattern and increase to a thumb gusset as explained in the pattern. 6) When the work measures 16 cm = 6 1/4", work 5 stitches after the chart, put the next 13 stitches (for thumb gusset) on a thread, cast on 1 new stitch behind the thumb and work the next 6 stitches after the chart. 7) How it is worked after the 1st round of the chart "behind" the thumb gusset. 8) How stitches are increased on each side of the marker thread. 9) How to work the rib when the pieces measures 18 cm = 7", (knit 1 twisted / purl 1). - Bind off with knit over knit and purl over purl. 10) Place the 13 stitches from the thread back on the needles. 11) How to knit up 3 stitches in the edge on the back of the thumb . - Work rib over the thumb stitches for 2 cm = 3/4" and bind off. These wrist-warmers are knitted in DROPS Merino Extra Fine, the same yarn we use in the video. You must also read the pattern and look at the chart to be able to follow this video properly.
