How to crochet a half flower square
In this DROPS video we show how to work a half flower square in DROPS 125-3.
Ch 6 with hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 and Kid-Silk and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROW 1: ch 5 (= 1 dc + ch 2), * 1 dc in ch space, ch 2 *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times and finish with 1 dc in ch space, turn piece.
ROW 2: 4 tr (replace first tr on row with 4 ch) in first ch space, * ch 2, 4 tr in next ch space *, repeat from *-* a total of 2 times and finish with ch 2 and 4 tr in last ch space, turn piece.
ROW 3: ch 9, * 4 tr crochet tog – SEE ABOVE (work 1 tr in each tr from previous row), ch 6, 1 dc round the ch 2 from previous row, ch 6 *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times and finish with 4 tr tog, ch 6 and 1 dc in first tr from previous row, turn piece.
ROW 4: ch 8, 1 dc in ch space, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch space, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch space, ch 5, 1 dc in next ch space, ch 10, 1 dc in next ch space (= corner), ch 5, 1 sc in next ch space, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch space, ch 5, 1 dc in next ch space, ch 5, finish with 1 dc in 6th ch from previous row.
