Crochet: Granny square with color change

They are so popular and can be used on so many projects. In this DROPS Video we show how to make one. After each color change, work around the old yarn end to fasten before cutting it. Chain 6 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: 3 ch, 2 dc in ring, * 3 ch, 3 dc *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times and finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Turn piece. Change color. ROUND 2: 3 ch, 2 dc in first ch-space, 3 ch, 3 dc in the same ch-space, * 1 ch, 3 dc in the next ch-space, 3 ch, 3 dc in the same ch-space *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, finish with 1 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Turn piece. Change color. ROUND 3: 3 ch, 2 dc in the first ch-space, 1 ch, * 3 dc in the next ch-space, 3 ch, 3 dc in the same ch-space, 1 ch, 3 dc in the next ch-space, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, 3 dc in the next ch-space, 3 ch, 3 dc in the same ch-space, 1 ch, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. How to crochet a flower square

In this DROPS video we show how to work the whole flower square in DROPS 125-3. This square is also use in other DROPS pattern. Ch 8 with hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 and Kid-Silk and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: ch 3 (= 1 dc), * ch 2, 1 dc in ring *, repeat from *-* a total of 7 times and finish with ch 2 and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round (= 8 dc on round with ch 2 between each). ROUND 2: 4 tr (replace first tr on round with 4 ch) in first ch space, * ch 2, 4 tr in next ch space *, repeat from *-* a total of 7 times and finish with ch 2 and 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg of round. ROUND 3: * 4 tr crochet tog – SEE ABOVE (replace first tr on round with ch 4 – NOTE: work 1 tr in each tr from previous round), ch 6, 1 dc round the ch 2 from previous round, ch 6 *, repeat from *-* a total of 8 times and finish with 1 sl st at the top of first tr-group. ROUND 4: Crochet sl sts to the middle of first ch space, ch 1, 1 sc in ch space, * ch 5, 1 sc in next ch space, ch 5, 1 dc in next ch space, ch 10, 1 dc in next ch space (= corner), ch 5, 1 sc in next ch space *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, then ch 5, 1 sc in next ch space, ch 5, 1 dc in next ch space, ch 10, 1 dc in next ch space (= corner), ch 5, finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round.
