Bind-off edge with picot

In this DROPS video we show you have to cast off with a picot edge. In the video we work like this: K 1, (* insert right needle in between the first 2 sts on left needle (i.e. between sts on needle, not through sts), make 1 YO on right needle, pull YO forwards between sts and slip YO on left needle *, repeat from *-* 2 more times (= 3 new sts on left needle). ** K first st on left needle, pass first st on right needle over last st worked **), repeat from **-** 5 times in total and repeat from (-) along the entire row until 1 st remains. How to bind off with a picot edge on a rib

In this DROPS video we show how to bind off with a picot on a rib. Knit 1, * insert right needle between the next 2 stitches (not through the stitches), make 1 yarn over, pull the yarn over between the stitches and place on left needle *, work from *-* 2 more times (= 3 yarn overs on left needle), knit and cast off 7 stitches (= 1 stitch + 3 yarn overs + 3 stitches). Work from *-* and bind off 7 stitches in the same way along the whole edge. When there are not enough stitches to work another picot, bind off the remaining stitches as usual. How to bind off with i-cord binding off.

In this DROPS video we show how to bind off with i-cord binding off that is for example, used in the shawl in DROPS 190-15. Work and bind off as follows: * Knit 2 stitches, the next 2 stitches are knitted twisted together. Push the 3 stitches from the right needle back onto the left needle (in the same order) *, repeat from *-* until all stitches on the left needle have been cast off and there are 3 stitches left on the right needle. Push the stitches onto the left needle and bind them off with knit. This shawl is crocheted in DROPS Flora, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. How to work an I-cord edge while binding off.

In this DROPS video we show how we work an I-cord edge while we're binding off. Cast on 4 new stitches on right needle from WS, turn piece. Use another knitting needle if you wish. * Knit 3 stitches, the next 2 stitches are knitted twisted together. Put these 4 stitches back to the left needle *. Repeat from *-* the entire round and bind off. Sew together cast on and bind off edge. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.

Wave edge – knitted

When working top down so that you end your piece at the edge, then you can end with a romantic ruffled wave edge, also a nice addition when working shawls from center and out. In this DROPS Video we show how to do so. When you have reached desired measure work like this: * K 1, 1 YO, repeat from * across, end row with K 1. Repeat this row one more time. Bind off. How to work a flounces edge at the end of a work

In this DROPS video we show how to work a flounces edge at the end of a work, like the one in DROPS 230-36. We start the video by showing a little bit of the last round of the rib (knit 1 twisted/purl 1), before we show how to increase stitches to the flounces edge. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. How to knit the neck edge to the jumper in DROPS 187-14

In this DROPS video we show how to knit the neck edge after chart A.4 in the Adele jumper in DROPS 187-14. We have already worked 2 ridges, 1 knitted round and 3 rounds from the chart A.4. We start on round 4 in the chart = round with knit 2 together and 1 yarn over (on next row knit yarn over to make a hole). When 7th round in diagram has been worked, knit 1 round before it cast off like this: Cast off by knitting but for every 4th stitch make 1 yarn over. Cast off yarn over as stitch. Fold at eyelet row in A.4 so that hem is on the inside of garment. Sew cast-off edge in the top ridge. This jumper is knitted in DROPS Belle, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. How to work the picot edge in DROPS 187-13

In this DROPS video we show how to work the picot edge after chart A.4 that is used in the jacket in DROPS 187-13. We start the video by working the 1st row of the chart and work 3 rows in stockinette stitch with 1 stitch worked in garter stitch in each side. How to work the wrist warmers in DROPS 190-33

In this DROPS video we show how to work after chart A.1 (size S/M) to the “Geline” wrist warmers in DROPS 190-33. We have already worked 7 rounds and start the video by the black star. Knitted edge of a shawl, while binding off

In this video we show you how to knit an edge to your shawl and at the same time binding of the sts on the shawl. When you are ready with the sts on the shawl don't turn the piece but cast on 14 new sts for shawl edge from WS. Turn the piece, K1 row over the new sts (= RS), turn the piece and work according to diagram = 1st row in the diagram is WS. In this DROPS video we already worked the first repeat of the edge. We start off with the second repeat of the edge: 1st row = WS: Slip 1st st as to P, K1, 1YO, K2 tog, k1 to 4 st remain of the edge sts, 1 YO, K2 tog, 2 YO, K the last two stitches. Turn the piece 2nd row = RS: K2, work only 1 of the double YO, drop the second one. K to 3 st remain of the edge st, 1 YO, K2 tog and work the last st together with the first free st from the shawl. Turn the piece and knit 3rd row of the diagram and so on. On the last row from RS we bind off the first 8 sts, knit the rest of the edge sts according to diagram = 14 sts on the needle and repeat the diagram again.
