In this DROPS video we show you how to knit an edge on your shawl and at the same time binding of the stitches.
When you are ready with the sts on the shawl don't turn the piece but cast on 14 new sts for shawl edge from WS. Turn the piece, K1 row over the new sts (= RS), turn the piece and knit according to diagram = 1st row in the diagram is WS.
In this DROPS video we already knitted the first repeat of the edge. We start off with the second repeat of the edge:
1st row = WS: Slip 1st st as to P, K1, 1YO, K2 tog, k1 to 4 st remain of the edge sts, 1 YO, K2 tog, 2 YO, K the last two stitches. Turn the piece
2nd row = RS: K2, work only 1 of the double YO, drop the second one. K to 3 st remain of the edge st, 1 YO, K2 tog and work the last st together with the first free st from the shawl. Turn the piece and knit 3rd row of the diagram and so on.
In the last row from the diagram on the RS we bind off the first 8 sts, knit the rest of the edge sts according to diagram = 14 sts on the needle and repeat the diagram again.

Merci mais cette vidéo ne correspond pas avec le châle que je vais réaliser c'est à dire diagramme du modèle drops 157-22 ceci dit ca me donne quand même une idée. Pour le mien la légende me dit de tricoter le jeté à l'endroit alors que je suis sur l'envers et diagramme il me semble que ce rend de retour est à l'envers c'est où je bloque et des fois j'ai plus de mailles Peut-on m'aider je vous en remercie

Bonjour Mme Pélissier, effectivement, la vidéo montre la technique ou comment tricoter la bordure au châle au fur et à mesure, mais suivez bien les indications du modèle que vous tricotez pour ce qui est du diagramme. Bon tricot! 02.01.2015 - 17:15
Merci, j'en suis presque à la bordure, et je suis très rassurée de pouvoir visualiser comment la monter. Ce châle est magnifique, et grâce à vos explications, il se tricote sans souci.
