How to crochet the body under round yoke

In this DROPS video we show you how to continue with the body after completing a round yoke. In the video we crochet as follows: work the tr on left front piece, 4 ch = under sleeve, tr on back piece, 4 ch = under sleeve and finishing with tr on right front piece. In the second row we show how to work tr around the ch under each sleeve. At the end we show how to start working around the armhole to start on a top down sleeve. As this is a standard technique, you must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. You’ll find patterns using this technique by clicking on the pictures below. How to crochet raglan increases on a jacket (working top down)

When working a raglan yoke top down you increase on specific places on the yoke creating a raglan line in each transition between body and sleeves. In this DROPS video we show how you can do this. We crochet back and forth on this video, but the techique is the same if you work in the round. We have placed 4 markers on the row and we increase by each marker crocheting 2 tr, 2 ch, 2 tr around the ch-space. In the second row we show how to work the sleeves after the yoke is finished and in the third row we show how to crochet the tr in the ch under each sleeve. How to crochet raglan decreases on a jacket

In this DROPS video we show you how to crochet a raglan decrease on a jacket like for example in DROPS 151-37. The piece is worked bottom up and we start by showing how to gather the different pieces working; right front piece, sleeve, back piece, sleeve and left front piece. Hereafter we show the placing of the markers that mark each raglan transition, and then we show two rows of raglan decreases; one working with tr’s and one with dc’s. We crochet back and forth on this video, but the techique is the same if you crochet in the round. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly.
