How to work an I-cord edge, back and forth

In this DROPS video we show how to work an I-cord edge both from the right side and from the wrong side. In this video the 6 first / 6 last stitches after the I-cord edge are worked in garter stitches (= the stitches are knitted on every row). At the beginning of the row from the right side, work like this: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1, work 6 garter stitches. Work stockinette stitch. At the end of the row from the right side, work like this: Work 6 garter stitches, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1. At the beginning of the row from the wrong side, work like this: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1, work 6 garter stitches. Work stockinette stitch. At the end of the row from the wrong side, work like this: Work 6 garter stitches, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. How to knit edge stitches in slip st (chain edge)

In this DROPS video we show how you can knit edge stitches in slip stitch (aka chain edge). When knitting a piece you have 1 stitch in each side of your work that is an edge stitch. The edge stitch are usually not included in the pattern, and there are different ways to knit the edge stitches. This depends on what kind of edge it is, if it will be sewn later like a side seam, if it will be open like on a scarf or a front edge of a jacket. Slip st edge / chain edge is great when you want a nice and decorative edge, like on a scarf or a front edge on a jacket. To get this nice looking twisted slip st along the edge, on every row you slip the 1st stitch as if you would knit it, and you purl the last st on every row. How to knit M.1 in 118-16

In this DROPS video we show how to knit the lace pattern followong chart M.1 for the skirt in DROPS 118-16. This skirt is made in DROPS Baby Merino, in the video we knit with DROPS Snow. How to work an i-cord edging

In this DROPS video we show how we work an i-cord edging in a piece in garter stitch, an i-cord is a knitted tube. We have chosen to have 3 edge stitches on each side that will form the i-cord edge. On each row, lift the 3 first stitches over to the right needle as if they should have been purl and purl the 3 last stitches on each row. Work like this: * Lift 3 stitches to the right needle as if they should have been purl, tighten the thread a little, knit the row until 3 stitches remain, purl these stitches, turn piece * repeat from * - *. You have to work a few cm and pull a little in the edge before you see the best result. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.

In this DROPS video we show how to work 2 I-cord edge stitches in each side, and at the same time increase in one of the sides. The same 2 edge stitches can be used in garments without increases. For example edges to a jacket. EDGE STITCHES: At the beginning of each row work 2 edge stitches as follows: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the strand in front, knit 1. At the end of each row work 2 edge stitches as follows: Work until there are 2 stitches left on the row, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the strand in front, knit 1. How to knit a lace picot edge

In this DROPS video we show how to knit a pretty lace picot edge. We knit this back and forth on needles. Row 1: knit all sts Row 2: knit all sts Row 3: knit to last 4 sts, K 2 tog, yo, K 2 sts in each of the last 2 sts (2 new sts). Row 4: bind off first 2 sts and K across remaining sts on row.
