How to close the seam under raglan sleeve (Kitchener sts, grafting, weaving)

In this DROPS video we show two ways of sewing together the hole under sleeves on a jumper/jacket with raglan. First, we show how to sew together so we get an invisible seam. Remember not to tighten the thread and sew from RS. Stitches should be same size as the knitted stitches. At thicker yarn it avoids that it becomes a thick seam on the back. Then we show how to sew together by sewing together the seam in the inner loops of edge sts. You get a thicker stitching on the outside, but it will not show up when it comes under arm. How to sew mattress stitches

In this DROPS video we show how to sew mattress stitches. This is a common way of seaming together side-to-side pieces - like side seams on sweaters. In the video we use a contrasting color yarn so it's easy to see what we are doing. If the tail from casting on is long enough use it to seam. Mattress stitching is done in the space between the edge stitch and the stitch next to it. Lay the pieces side by side with the right side facing you. Pull the edge stitch slightly away from the stitch next to it so that you can see the bar between the edge st and the next st. Insert your yarn needle under the bar. Pull the yarn through the bar and then insert the needle under the bar on the other piece. Work back and forth, inserting the needle under the bar on one piece then the other piece. As you go along you can pull the yarn in the direction of the seam and the pieces will be joined with an invisible seam. You must read the pattern to be able to follow. How to sew invisible grafting / kitchener stitch in the cast off edge from wrong side

In this DROPS video we show how to sew an invisible seam in the cast off edge from wrong side (same technique can also be used when sewing cast on and cast off edge together). Put the pieces with the wrong side together, edge to edge. Fasten the thread by sewing the two corners together twice. Put the needle in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch on the first piece (down and up), then sew in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch on the second piece (down and up), continue sewing every other part, down and up. How to do Kitchener stitches / grafting / weaving

In this DROPS video we show how to sew two parts together with an invisible seam, also known as Kitchener stitch (aka grafting, aka weaving). How to set a sleeve to a yoke / body

In this DROPS video we show how it is thought that a sleeve will be sewn to a yoke/body so that it matches a measurement chart. Follow the pattern, whether it is knitted from above or from below. Cast on or cast off stitches for armholes, read the pattern / see measurement chart. Work the sleeve around to the stated measurements, then work back and forth to finished measurements. When the sleeve and body are sewn together make sure that the marks on sleeves fit bottom of armhole. We use the yarn DROPS Nepal in the video. How to assemble a slipper

In this DROPS video we show how a slipper looks when it is finished knitted, where it is to be sewn and where to pick up stitches / knit 2 rows to the opening to the foot. The picture of the slippers in the video are knitted in DROPS Big Delight, but in video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. How to assembly slippers

In this DROPS video we show how we sew together a knitted slippers that is worked back and forth in one piece, this assembly is used in the Sorbet Slippers in DROPS 203-23 and others slippers. Fold the piece at the toe, so that over side is on top of under side. Make sure that side of cast-on edge and side of cast-off edge is edge to edge (cast-on edge and cast-off edge form the hole to insert foot in slipper). Sew in front loop of edge stitch (we have choose to sew form the wrong side), begin in the side of cast-on/cast-off edge and sew up to toe. Repeat in the other side.
