Keywords: garter stitch, leaf pattern, shawl, short rows,

In this DROPS video we show how to knit some steps in the garter stitch shawl Blue Callas in DROPS 177-15, with leaves and which is worked sideways.
We cast on 3 stitches and knit 2 rows, then we show row 1-5.
Then you repeat rows 2- 5 until there are 45 stitches on the needle.
Then we show SHORT ROWS (with blue). We only show the beginning and end of each row (only K).
Then we show RIDGES with increases (with grey).

You MUST read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. You’ll find the pattern by clicking on the picture below.

This shawl is knitted in DROPS Fabel, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow.

This video is wonderful, and I appreciate this opportunity to tell you so! I understood the pattern, but wanted to be sure I made my increases the same way, and sometimes it's hard for me to just 'trust the pattern'. I am looking forward to knitting the Blue Callas shawl, which is now next on my list. Thank you for taking the time to create this video.
