How to crochet a waffle pattern
In this DROPS video we show you how to crochet an easy waffle pattern. This pattern can be used in for example cloths, pot holders or blankets.
Start by chaining a row with a number of stitches multiple with 3 + 4. In the video we chain a row with 15+4.
Work 19 chain stitch.
Row 1: Work 1 treble crochet in the 2nd chain stitch from the hook, 1 treble crochet in each of the next 17 chain stitch, 2 chain stitch and turn.
Row 2: Work 1 treble crochet in the 1st / next treble crochet, *1 treble crochet around the treble crochet from the last row, and then 1 treble crochet in each of the 2 next treble crochet* , repeat* -* until there is 1 stitch left, finish with 1 treble crochet in the 2nd chain stitch. Work 2 chain stitch and turn.
Row 3: *Work 1 treble crochet in the 1st / next treble crochet, 1 treble crochet around each of the 2 next treble crochet from the last row* repeat*-*, until there is 1 stitch left, finish with 1 treble crochet in the 2nd chain stitch. Work 2 chain stitch and turn.
Repeat row 2 and 3 until wanted size. Finish with 1 treble crochet in each treble crochet from last row.
