How to work an easy cute lace edge

In this DROPS video we show how to work an easy cute lace edge.

Cast on 4 stitches.
Row 1: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1, make 2 yarn over (= double yarn over) and knit 2.
Row 2: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 (work part 1 of yarn over twisted), purl 1, knit 2.
Row 3: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 5.
Row 4: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 5.
Row 5: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1, make 2 yarn over, knit 2 twisted together, make 2 yarn over, knit 2.
Row 6: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 8 (work part 1 of yarn over twisted).
Row 7: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 8.
Row 8: Cast off 5 stitches (= 3+1 stitches on needles), knit to the end of row.

Repeat row 1-8 to desired length.
