How to increase in an outermost stitch

In this DROPS video we show how we increase in an outermost stitch. First, we show how we increase before the maker-thread, then after the marker-thread. Increase before maker-thread: Work to the marker-thread, knit 1 in the strand of the stitch lying 2 rounds below outermost stitch on the right needle. How to begin a row with a yarn over

In this DROPS video we show how to begin a row with yarn over, this technique is used in the Daydreamer shawl in DROPS 195-17. We have already cast on 13 stitches and knited 1 row from wrong side. Then we show: ROW 1 (= right side): Make 1 yarn over, knit 1, 1 yarn over and knit the rest of stitches (= 2 stitches increased). ROW 2 (= wrong side): Make 1 yarn over, knit 1, 1 yarn over and knit the rest of stitches (= 2 stitches increased). Work ROWS 1-2 3 more times (4 times in total) = 29 stitches on needle. How to work increases from the wrong side

In this DROPS video, we show how to increase with yarn over from the right side, both before a mark and after a mark, and how to work the increases from the wrong side. To get the yarn over to face neatly towards each other from the wrong side, work like this before the marker: Work in the back loop of the yarn over (no hole). After the marker work like this: Slip the yarn over off the left needle, then replace it the other way round (insert the left needle from the back when replacing it). How to work yarn over differently to get different directions

In this DROPS video we show how to work yarn over differently so that they are towards the right or towards the left, as it is done in the hat in DROPS 234-12. We show 1 round where we knit the yarn over and 2 rounds where we purl the yarn over. Work the yarn over like this: AFTER MARKER: Work yarn over in back loop of stitches, stitch is twisted towards the left. It should not make a hole! BEFORE MARKER: Slip yarn over off the needle and put it back the opposite way, and then work in front loop of stitch, stitches is twisted towards the right. It should not make a hole! Work the increased stitches in rib knit 2/purl 2 - i.e. the first 2 times knit the increased stitches, the next 2 times purl them.
