Buonasera io sto eseguendo tg.
Buon lavoro!

I’m at the Yoke, I have all ready done the 7rows in MC, but how to I go from 414 Staten down to 161 star, when there is no mention of any dec rows or how many sts to dec. Thank you in advance for you answer
04.09.2022 - 20:00DROPS Design answered:
Dear Beatrice, as you can read in the pattern: "Then K 0-2-2-5-7-7 rounds with anthracite, then continue with diagram M.2 (= 18-19-20-21-23-24 repetitions on the round). When M.2 has been worked, there are 126-133-140-147-161-168 sts on needle". All decreases are included in the diagram M.2, found under the pattern. If you need more help with diagram M.2, you can check here how to read knitting diagrams: https://www.garnstudio.com/lesson.php?id=68&cid=17. Happy knitting!

Mvh DROPS Design

Hi! I've knitted this in M and it came out really, really big. The sleeves are 20 cm too long and so is the torso - I think it may be caused by the yoke part? I followed the pattern exactly and never had this happen before with other patterns, I also tend to knit tighter rather than loser. Did this happen to anyone else? I wonder if the fact that the yoke is the same for all sizes could be behind this. I just took it apart and will knit S size with some adjustments to the yoke.

Hej!
Mvh DROPS Design

PATTERN: See diagrams M.1 and M.2 – diagrams are worked in stockinette st and show 1 repetition of pattern. -------------------------------------------------------- BODY: Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 200-220-236-256-276-292 sts on circular needle size 3 mm / US 2or3 with anthracite. Work rib = K 2/P 2 for 8 cm / 3⅛". Switch to circular needle size 4 mm / US 6 and K 1 round while at the same time dec 24-28-32-32-36-36 sts evenly = 176-192-204-224-240-256 sts. Insert a marker at beg of round and a marker after 88-96-102-112-120-128 sts (these marks the sides). Continue in stockinette st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! When piece measures 15 cm / 6", inc 1 st on each side of both markers. Repeat inc every 5 cm / 2" a total of 4-4-5-5-5-5 times = 192-208-224-244-260-276 sts. When piece measures 41-42-44-45-46-48 cm / 16"-16½"-17¼"-17¾"-18"-19", bind off 8 sts in each side for armholes (i.e. Bind off 4 sts on each side of both markers). Put piece aside and work the sleeves. SLEEVE: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 56-56-60-60-64-64 sts on double pointed needles size 3 mm / US 2or3 with anthracite. Work rib = K 2/P 2 for 8 cm / 3⅛". Switch to double pointed needles size 4 mm / US 6 and K 1 round. Insert a marker mid under sleeve. Continue with diagram M.1, then work with anthracite until finished measurements. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 13 cm / 5", inc 1 st on each side of marker under sleeve. Repeat inc on every 6th-6th-6th-6th-6th-5th round a total of 14-16-14-16-16-17 times = 84-88-88-92-96-98 sts. When piece measures 46-47-47-47-47-48 cm / 18"-18½"-18½"-18½"-18½"-19", bind off 8 sts mid under sleeve = 76-80-80-84-88-90 sts remain on needle. Put piece aside and knit another sleeve. YOKE: Slip sleeves on to same circular needle as body where armholes were bound off = 328-352-368-396-420-440 sts. Insert a marker mid back – now round begins here! K 1 round with anthracite while AT THE SAME TIME dec 4-10-8-18-6-8 sts evenly = 324-342-360-378-414-432 sts. Then K 0-2-2-5-7-7 rounds with anthracite, then continue with diagram M.2 (= 18-19-20-21-23-24 repetitions on the round). When M.2 has been worked, there are 126-133-140-147-161-168 sts on needle and piece measures approx. 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm / 24⅜"-25¼"-26"-26¾"-27½"-28⅜" up to shoulder. Work with anthracite and in stockinette st until finished measurements. K 1 round while at the same time dec 34-37-40-43-53-56 sts evenly = 92-96-100-104-108-112 sts. Then work an elevation in the back as follows: K 8 sts past marker, turn, tighten thread and P 16 sts back, turn, tighten thread and K 24 sts, turn, continue to work 8 sts more in stockinette st for every turn until a total of 80 sts have been worked after last turn, turn and K 1 round over all sts until mid back again. NECK: Switch to circular needle size 3 mm / US 2or3. K 1 round while at the same time inc 20-20-16-16-12-12 sts evenly = 112-116-116-120-120-124 sts. Continue with rib = K 2/P 2 for 10 cm / 4", then bind off with K over K and P over P. ASSEMBLY: Sew tog the openings under the sleeves. |
