Example 1: You inc/dec 1 st on every 3rd and 4th row/round/cm alternately a total of 10 times.
Do like this:
Work 2 rows, inc/dec on the 3rd row.
Work 3 rows, inc/dec on the 4th row.
Work 2 rows, inc/dec on the 3rd row.
Work 3 rows, inc/dec on the 4th row.
Repeat until you have inc/dec a total of 10 times.
Example 2: You inc/dec 1 st on every 1,5 and 2 cm alternately a total of 10 times.
Do like this:
Work 1,5 cm, inc/dec.
Work 2 cm, inc/dec.
Work 1,5 cm, inc/dec.
Work 2 cm, inc/dec.
Repeat until you have inc/dec a total of 10 times.
NB! If you crochet or knit back and forth on the needles, you inc/dec both on the right side and the wrong side. Feel free to use a marker so that you easily can see where to inc/dec.
If you crochet or knit round on a circular needle, all the inc/dec happens from the right side.

Bonjour Liloo, en général, quand on tricote 2 fois la même maille, on la tricote alternativement dans le brin avant et le brin arrière ce qui évite un trou, maintenant ce trou peut être décoratif ou bien vous pouvez changer la façon de faire, tout dépend du modèle. Bon tricot!

Dear Ida, you increase 1 stitch on each side of the marker in the same row. Work 3 rows normal and increase again in the next row. Work 4 rows normally and increase again in the next row. Alternate between 3 and 4 rows before each increase row until you have worked 10 increase rows (you have increased 20 stitches). Happy knitting!

Het is per patroon en maat heel verschillend hoe de raglan gebreid wordt. Misschien kun je eens filteren op 'raglan' en proberen een patroon te vinden die overeenkomt met de stekenverhouding van jouw breiwerk.

Je haakt aan elke kant eerst 1 keer 3 dubbele stokjes, dan haak je aan elke kant 2 dubbele stokjes en tot slot haak je 1 dubbel stokje en dit doe je 3 keer, dus op 3 toeren.

Dear Eva, if it's not stated anywhere that you have to work alternately, then just work each instruction in the order they are written. First decrease every 6th row. That is, work 5 rows normally and work the decrease in the 6th row. Repeat in the 12th and 18th row. After this, you will start decreasing every 4th row 6 times. If you start counting from the row after the last decrease row, decrease in the following rows: 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 20th and 24th rows. Happy knitting!

Dear Irene, for the first tip: in the first row you increase 1 st at the beginning and end of the row. The next (2nd) row is worked with no increases. In the 3rd row you work the same increases as in the first row. In the 4th row, you work no increases. Repeat increases as in rows 1-3 once more. So you should have, in total: Rows 1, 3, 5 and 7 with increases and Rows 2, 4, 6 with no increases. For the 2nd tip: work increases in first row. Then work 3 rows without increases. In the next row increase again. Work 3 rows without increases and increase again in the next row. Happy knitting!

Dear Marilyn, it means that, in round 21, you should continue as before, knitting the whole round in uneven rounds. Meanwhile, in round 22, you work: k6, inc 1 st in next st, * inc 1 st in every 11 th st*. Round 23, knit the whole round. Round 24: k7, inc 1 st in next st, * inc 1 st in every 12th st*. So, in each uneven round you knit the whole round and in every even round, you knit 1 more stitch before starting the increases (k6, k7, k8..) and then you leave one more stitch between increases (every 10th, every 11th, every 12th...).
