Bon tricot!

I think theres a mistake for size L. When dividing into the body parts it says there should be 61 stitches for half back body but it would be 59 or not? We have 412 in total an 61 + 84 + 114 + 84 + 61 as it says in the instructions would be 404

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- RAGLAN: Increase 1 stitch (by making 1 yarn over) before/after 2 stitches in each transition between the body and sleeves. The marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches. On the next round work the yarn overs as follows: BEFORE MARKER-THREAD: Slip the yarn over knit-wise, then place it back onto the left needle the other way round and knit the front loop (the yarn over is twisted to avoid a hole). AFTER MARKER-THREAD: Knit twisted. DECREASE TIP (for sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SWEATER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, from mid back and top down. Increases are made for raglan. The yoke is divided for body and sleeves and the body is continued in the round with circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round with short circular needle/double pointed needles. DOUBLE NECK: Cast on 136-136-144-152-152-160 stitches with DROPS Fabel, using short circular needles size 2.5 and 3.5 MM = US 4 held together. Remove the needle size 3.5 MM = US 4 (this gives you an elastic cast-on edge). Knit 1 round. Insert 1 marker-thread at the beginning of the round (mid-back). Work rib as follows: SIZES S, M, XL and XXL: Knit 1, * purl 2, knit 2 *, work from *-* until there are 3 stitches left, purl 2, knit 1 (marker-thread sits between 2 knitted stitches). SIZES L and XXXL: Purl 1, * knit 2, purl 2 *, work from *-* until there are 3 stitches left, knit 2, purl 1 (marker-thread sits between 2 purled stitches). ALL SIZES: Continue this rib for 9 cm = 3½". Insert 4 new marker-threads, without working the stitches as follows: Count 20-20-22-24-24-26 stitches (half back piece). Insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch. Count 28 stitches (sleeve). Insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch. Count 40-40-44-48-48-52 stitches (front piece), Insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch. Count 28 stitches (sleeve), Insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch. There are 20-20-22-24-24-26 stitches left after the last marker-thread (half back piece). Change to circular needle size 3.5 MM = US 4. Knit 1 round and decrease 16 stitches (4 stitches on each sleeve and the front piece, and 2 stitches on each half of the back piece) – do not decrease the stitches on each side of the marker-threads as these are the raglan-lines. There are 18-18-20-22-22-24 stitches on each half of the back piece, 24 stitches on each sleeve, 36-36-40-44-44-48 stitches on the front piece = 120-120-128-136-136-144 stitches. Insert 1 marker in the middle of the round; the yoke is measured from this marker. YOKE: Work in the round, in stockinette stitch. AT THE SAME TIME on the first round, begin to increase for RAGLAN – read description above. Increase every 2nd round a total of 11-21-25-28-37-48 times = 208-288-328-360-432-528 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! Continue increasing for raglan but every second increase is only on the body, i.e., increase on the body every 2nd round and on the sleeves every 4th round (alternately 4 and 8 increased stitches). Increase like this 22-16-14-14-8-0 times on the body (11-8-7-7-4-0 times on the sleeves). You have increased a total of 33-37-39-42-45-48 times on the body and 22-29-32-35-41-48 times on the sleeves = 340-384-412-444-480-528 stitches. Continue working stockinette stitch but without further increases until the yoke measures 23-25-26-28-30-32 cm = 9"-9¾"-10¼"-11"-11¾"-12½" from the marker. Divide for the body and sleeves on the next round: Knit 52-57-61-67-73-82 (half back piece), place the next 66-78-84-88-94-100 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 10-10-12-12-12-12 stitches (in side under sleeve), knit 104-114-122-134-146-164 (front piece), place the next 66-78-84-88-94-100 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 10-10-12-12-12-12 stitches (in side under sleeve), knit the last 52-57-61-67-73-82 stitches (half back piece). Finish the body and sleeves separately. Remove the marker-threads. The piece is now measured from here. BODY: = 228-248-268-292-316-352 stitches. Work stockinette stitch in the round for a further 31-31-32-32-32-32 cm = 12¼"-12¼"-12½"-12½"-12½"-12½". Change to circular needle size 2.5 MM = US 1.5. Knit 1 round and increase 48-56-60-68-76-84 stitches evenly spaced = 276-304-328-360-392-436 stitches. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 5 cm = 2". Bind off with rib. The sweater measures approx. 64-66-68-70-72-74 cm = 25¼"-26"-26¾"-27½"-28⅜"-29⅛" from the shoulder. SLEEVES: Place the 66-78-84-88-94-100 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on short circular needle/double pointed needles size 3.5 MM = US 4 and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 10-10-12-12-12-12 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 76-88-96-100-106-11 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the new stitches under the sleeve = start of the round. Continue stockinette stitch in the round. When the sleeve measures 4-2-4-4-4-2 cm = 1½"-¾"-1½"-1½"-1½"-¾", decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 4½-3-2-2-1½-1½ cm = 1⅝"-1⅛"-¾"-¾"-½"-½" a total of 8-13-16-16-19-21 times = 60-62-64-68-68-70 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 42-41-40-38-37-35 cm = 16½"-16⅛"-15¾"-15"-14½"-13¾" from the division (or to desired length. There is approx. 5 cm = 2" left). Change to double pointed needles size 2.5 MM = US 1.5. Knit 1 round and increase 20-22-20-20-20-22 stitches evenly spaced = 80-84-84-88-88-92 stitches. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 5 cm = 2". Loosely bind off with rib. Work the other sleeve in the same way. ASSEMBLY: Fold the neck double to the inside and sew down. To avoid the neck being tight and rolling outwards, it is important that the seam is elastic. |
