CARDIGAN: Gauge: 14 sts x 19 rows with 1 strand Angora-Tweed + 1 strand Vivaldi = 10 x 10 cm on larger needles in stockinette st. Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows. Rib: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from * - *. Knitting tips (for neck shaping): Dec 1 st inside 5 edge sts. All decs are made from right side. After 5 edge sts: slip 1 as if to knit, K 1, psso. Before 5 edge sts: K 2 tog. Back: The back is knit in 2 pieces of different color patterns and sewn together at center back. Left back: Cast on 37-40-43-46-49 sts on smaller needles with 1 strand each Vivaldi + brown Angora-Tweed. Knit 4 rows garter st, change to larger needles and stockinette st. When the piece measures 25 cm dec 1 st at the side every 10 cm a total of 3 times = 34-37-40-43-46 sts. At the same time when the piece measures 42-43-44-45-46 cm change to 1 strand each Vivaldi + charcoal grey Karisma Superwash, continue in stockinette st. When the piece measures 48-49-50-51-52 cm change to 1 strand each Vivaldi + camel Angora-Tweed and knit this color combination to finished measurements. At the same time when the piece measures 52-53-54-55-56 cm bind off for armhole at the side edge every other row: 3 sts 1-1-2-2-2 times, 2 sts 1-2-2-3-4 times and 1 st 2 times = 27-28-28-29-30 sts. When the piece measures 69-71-73-75-77 cm knit rib over the 15-16-16-16-16 sts at center back edge - for size S start row with P 1 and the other sizes with K 1, beginning at the center back edge - knit the remaining sts in stockinette st. After 3 rows bind off the 10-11-11-11-11 sts att center back edge for the neck = 17-17-17-18-19 sts remain on shoulder. Continue with the 5 sts at neck edge in rib as established and bind off when the piece measures 72-74-76-78-80 cm. Right back: Knit the same as the left back, reversing all shaping, and using the following color combinations: From beginning until piece measures 42-43-44-45-46 cm: 1 strand each Vivaldi + green Angora-Tweed From 42-43-44-45-46 cm until 48-49-50-51-52 cm: 1 strand each Vivaldi + charcoal Karisma Superwash From 48-49-50-51-52 cm to finished measurements: 1 strand each Vivaldi + rust Angora-Tweed Left front: Cast on 41-44-47-50-53 sts on smaller needles with 1 strand Vivaldi + 1 strand brown Angora-Tweed. Knit 4 rows garter st, change to larger needles and stockinette st - but the 5 sts at center front edge are knit as follows for button band (from center front edge): K 1 (edge st knit in garter st throughout), K 1, P 1, K 1, P 1. Use color pattern as on left back. When the piece measures 25 cm dec at the side as on back = 38-41-44-47-50 sts. Read the entire next section before knitting: Armhole: When the piece measures 52-53-54-55-56 cm bind off for armhole at the side as on back = 31-32-32-33-34 sts. Neck shaping: When the piece measures 55-56-57-58-59 cm dec 1 st for neck inside 5 button band sts every other row (see knitting tips) 14-15-15-15-15 times = 17-17-17-18-19 sts remain on shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 72-74-76-78-80 cm. Right front: Knit the same as the left front but with color pattern as on right back. Make buttonholes along button bands as follows: 1 buttonhole = bind off the 3rd st from edge and on the next row, yo over the bound off st. Make buttonholes when the piece measures: Size S: 14, 22, 30, 38, 46 and 54 cm. Size M: 15, 23, 31, 39, 47 and 55 cm. Size L: 16, 24, 32,.40, 48 and 56 cm. Size XL: 17, 25, 33, 41, 49 and 57 cm. Size XXL: 18, 26, 34, 52 and 58 cm. Right sleeve: Cast on 30-31-32-33-34 sts on smaller needles with 1 strand Vivaldi + 1 strand brown Angora-Tweed. Knit 4 rows garter st, change to larger needles and stockinette st. Read the entire next section before knitting: Color pattern: When sleeve measures 12 cm change to 1 strand each Vivaldi + charcoal grey Karisma Superwash. When sleeve measures 18 cm Change to 1 strand each Vivaldi + rust Angora-Tweed. When sleeve measures 25 cm Change to 1 strand each Vivaldi + charcoal grey Karisma. When the piece measures 32 cm change to 1 strand each Vivaldi + camel Angora-Tweed and knit to finished measurements in this color combination. Sleeve increases: At the same time, when the piece measures 6 cm inc 1 st at each side every 4-3.5-3-3-2.5 cm a total of 11-12-13-13-15 times = 52-55-58-59-64 sts. When sleeve measures 49-48-47-45-44 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3-3-2-2-2 times and 1 st 1-2-5-8-9 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 57-57-58-58-58 cm, then bind off 3 sts 1 time at each side. The piece measures approx. 58-58-59-59-59 cm, bind off the remaining sts. Left sleeve: Cast on with 1 strand each Vivaldi + green Angora-Tweed and knit the same as the right with following color pattern: When sleeve measures 12 cm change to 1 strand each Vivaldi + charcoal grey Karisma Superwash. When sleeve measures 18 cm Change to 1 strand each Vivaldi + camel Angora-Tweed. When sleeve measures 25 cm Change to 1 strand each Vivaldi + charcoal grey Karisma. When the piece measures 32 cm change to 1 strand each Vivaldi + rust Angora-Tweed and knit to finished measurements in this color combination. Assembly: Sew back center back using 1 edge st as seam allowance. Sew shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance. Sew on buttons. SCARF: Width: approx. 18 cm [7"] Length: approx. 120 cm [47.25"] Materials: Garnstudio PELLIZA, 100 gr nr 13, khaki. DROPS 5 mm [US 8] needles, or size needed to obtain correct gauge. Gauge: 19 sts in garter st = 10 cm. Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows. Scarf: Cast on 35 sts and knit garter st for 120 cm (or to desired length), bind off. GLOVES: Sizes: S/M - M/L Materials: DROPS ANGORA-TWEED from Garnstudio 100-100 gr nr 11, camel. DROPS 2.5 mm [US 1] and 3 mm [US 2] double-pointed needles, or sizes needed to obtain correct gauge. Gauge: 23 sts x 32 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm. Rib: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from * - *. Pattern: See chart. The pattern is seen from the right side. Right Glove: Cast on 54-58 sts on smaller double-pointed needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 2 cm stockinette st (for hem facing). Knit the next row as follows: * K 2 tog, yo *, repeat from * - * (= folding row). Knit 2 cm stockinette st - on the last row dec 8 sts evenly distributed = 46-50 sts. Then knit rib for 4 cm. Change to larger double-pointed needles and knit the next row as follows: 0-1 sts stockinette st, Pattern 1 over 24 sts, 0-1 sts stockinette st (these 24-26 sts = back of hand), 1 st stockinette st for thumb (put a marker in this st), 21-23 sts stockinette st (these sts = palm). Measure the work from here. Continue in pattern as established and when the piece measures 1-2 cm inc 1 st each side of thumb st every 4-3 rows a total of 5-6 times = 56-62 sts - knit the increased sts in stockinette st. Put the 11-13 thumb sts on a st holder. Cast on 1 new st in back of these sts on the next row= 46-50 sts; join sts. Continue on these sts until the piece measures 9-10 cm. Put the 24-26 sts of back of hand on a st holder (= st holder-1) and the 22-24 sts of palm on a second st holder (= st holder-2). Now knit fingers as follows: Little finger: Pick up 5-5 sts from st holder-1 and 4-5 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 2 new sts towards ring finger = 11-12 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 5-6 cm. On the next row K 2 tog across row. Pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts and fasten. Put all sts from st holders back on needles; join and knit 3 rows keeping pattern as established. Divide and put sts back on st holders. Ring finger: Pick up 6-7 sts from st holder-1 and 6-6 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 1 st between fingers at each side = 14-15 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 7-8 cm. On the next row K 2 tog across row, then pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts and fasten. Middle finger: Pick up 7-7 sts from st holder-1 and 6-7 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 1 st between fingers at each side = 15-16 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 8-9 cm, then K 2 tog across row. Pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts and fasten. Index finger: Pick up the remaining 6-7 sts from st holder-1 and 6-6 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 2 new sts towards middle finger = 14-15 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 6-7 cm. On the next row K 2 tog across row. Pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts and fasten. Thumb: Put the 11-13 thumb sts on needles, pick up 3-3 sts at back of thumb = 14-16 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until thumb measures 5-6 cm. On the next row K 2 tog across row. Pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts and fasten. Assembly: Fold facing at lower edge to wrong side and stitch down. Sew a small st between all the fingers to close. Knit left glove the same, reversing all shaping. |
