Welche Wolle kann ich alternativ für 252-38 Lost in Mist nehmen, wenn ich kein Polyamid Anteil möchte? Is there a natural alternative vor Fabel, without plastic? Thank you!!!
10.11.2024 - 15:41DROPS Design answered:
Dear Uli, DROPS Fabel is specially used for making socks; so sock yarns usually have polyamide to help make it resistant to wear. You could use other Group A yarns such as DROPS Alpaca, DROPS Baby Merino or DROPS Flora. Happy knitting!

Hvis jeg vil erstatte garnet med drops melody hvor mange gram skal jeg så bruge til en str. s?
04.10.2024 - 17:34DROPS Design answered:
Hei Camilla. I str. Altså du trenger 6 nøster a 140 meter av DROPS Melody :) mvh DROPS Design

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- RAGLAN: Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over, which is worked as follows on the next round: BEFORE MARKER-THREAD: Slip the yarn-over off the left needle and replace it the other way round (insert the left needle through the back loop when replacing it). Knit through the front loop – no hole. Then work the new stitch in stockinette stitch. AFTER MARKER-THREAD: Knit through the back loop. Then work the new stitch in stockinette stitch. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SWEATER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The pattern uses both long and short needles; start with the length which fits the number of stitches and change when necessary. The yoke is worked in the round with circular needle, top down, from right back shoulder. When the yoke is finished, it is divided for the body and sleeves and the body continued in the round, while the sleeves wait. The sleeves are worked top down, in the round. Stitches are knitted up for the neck and worked in the round. The neck can be folded double when finished and sewn down. YOKE: Cast on 72-76-80-84-88-88 stitches with circular needle size 6 MM = US 10, 1 strand color silver fox DROPS Fabel, 1 strand color off white DROPS Kid-Silk and 1 strand color marzipan DROPS Kid-Silk (= 3 strands). The round begins on the right back shoulder. Insert 1 marker after the first 24-25-26-27-28-28 stitches (approx. mid-front), the piece is measured from here. Insert 4 marker-threads, without working the stitches and each thread inserted between 2 stitches (called raglan-stitches). Insert 1 marker-thread at the beginning of the round, count 12 stitches (= sleeve), Insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch, count 24-26-28-30-32-32 stitches (= front piece), Insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch, count 12 stitches (= sleeve), Insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch, there are 24-26-28-30-32-32 stitches left after the last marker-thread (= back piece). Work stockinette stitch in the round and increase for RAGLAN after/before the 2 raglan-stitches in each transition between the body and sleeves – read description above (= 8 stitches increased on each increase-round). Increase for raglan every 2nd round a total of 17-18-19-21-22-24 times = 208-220-232-252-264-280 stitches. Remember to maintain the knitting gauge. The increases for the sleeves are now finished but continue increasing on the front and back pieces, every 2nd round, 1-2-2-1-1-1 more times = 212-228-240-256-268-284 stitches (= 4 stitches increased on each increase-round). Continue working without further increases until the yoke measures 22-24-25-26-28-30 cm = 8¾"-9½"-9¾"-10¼"-11"-11¾" from the marker. Now divide for the body and sleeves. DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: AT THE SAME TIME AS working the next round, divide yoke as follows: Knit 1-1-1-1-2-3 (= belong to back piece), place the next 44-46-48-52-52-54 stitches on 1 thread for the sleeve, cast on 8-8-10-12-14-16 stitches (in side mid-under sleeve), knit 62-68-72-76-82-88 (= front piece), place the next 44-46-48-52-52-54 stitches on 1 thread for the sleeve, cast on 8-8-10-12-14-16 stitches (in side mid-under sleeve), knit the last 61-67-71-75-80-85 stitches (= back piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately. BODY: = 140-152-164-176-192-208 stitches. Insert 1 marker in the middle of the 8-8-10-12-14-16 cast-on stitches under one sleeve. Work to the marker; the new round begins here. Continue stockinette stitch in the round until the piece measures 44-46-48-50-52-54 cm = 17¼"-18"-19"-19¾"-20½"-21¼" from the marker mid-front. Change to circular needle size 5 MM = US 8. Work rib (knit 1, purl 1), AT THE SAME TIME increase 20-20-24-26-28-28 stitches evenly on the first round = 160-172-188-202-220-236 stitches. When the rib measures 6 cm = 2⅜", bind off slightly loosely. The sweater measures approx. 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm = 19¾"-20½"-21¼"-22"-22¾"-23⅝" from the marker and 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm = 21¼"-22"-22¾"-23⅝"-24⅜"-25¼" from top of shoulder. SLEEVES: Place the 44-46-48-52-52-54 sleeve-stitches from the thread on one side of the piece on circular needle size 6 MM = US 10 and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 8-8-10-12-14-16 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 52-54-58-64-66-70 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the 8-8-10-12-14-16 stitches under the sleeve. Start at the marker-thread and work stockinette stitch in the round. When the sleeve measures 2 cm = ¾", decrease 2 stitches under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 4½-4-3½-3-2½-2 cm = 1⅝"-1½"-1¼"-1⅛"-1"-¾" a total of 8-8-9-11-12-13 times = 36-38-40-42-42-44 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 37-36-35-34-33-32 cm = 14½"-14¼"-13¾"-13⅜"-13"-12½" from the division. Change to double pointed needles size 5 MM = US 8. Work rib (knit 1, purl 1), AT THE SAME TIME increase 6-6-6-6-6-6 stitches evenly on the first round = 42-44-46-48-48-50 stitches. When the rib measures 6 cm = 2⅜", bind off a little loosely. The sleeve measures approx. 43-42-41-40-39-38 cm = 17"-16½"-16⅛"-15¾"-15¼"-15". NECK: Use circular needle size 5 MM = US 8, 1 strand color silver fox DROPS Fabel, 1 strand color off white DROPS Kid-Silk and 1 strand color marzipan DROPS Kid-Silk (= 3 strands). Start from the right side, mid-back and knit up 90-96-100-106-110-110 stitches around the neckline; the stitch count should be divisible by 2. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 8-8-8-9-9-9 cm = 3⅛"-3⅛"-3⅛"-3½"-3½"-3½". Bind off slightly loosely. You can fold the neck double to the inside and fasten with a couple of stitches. |
