How to work an easy flounce

In this DROPS video we show how we work an easy flounce, like the one used in the «White Pine» socks in DROPS 229-28. We have already cast on stitches and knitted 2 rounds and in the video, we work like this/ we show the beginning of the rounds: Round 1: Knit 2, knit 2 sts together. Round 2: Knit. Round 3: Knit 2 and 2 sts together. Round 4: Knit. Round 5: Purl. Round 6: Knit: Then work a rib (knit 1, purl 1) for a few cm. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. How to work stitches together to get a wavy edge

In this DROPS video we show how to work a wavy neck edge after chart, like the ones in DROPS 232-43 and 232-44. We have already cast on and knit 1 row from the wrong side. How to work an easy cute lace edge

In this DROPS video we show how to work an easy cute lace edge. Cast on 4 stitches. Row 1: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1, make 2 yarn over (= double yarn over) and knit 2. Row 2: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 (work part 1 of yarn over twisted), purl 1, knit 2. Row 3: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 5. Row 4: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 5. Row 5: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1, make 2 yarn over, knit 2 twisted together, make 2 yarn over, knit 2. Row 6: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 8 (work part 1 of yarn over twisted). Row 7: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 8. Row 8: Cast off 5 stitches (= 3+1 stitches on needles), knit to the end of row. Repeat row 1-8 to desired length. The little light blue lace sample is worked in DROPS Cotton Merino, but we use DROPS Snow in the video.

How to knit a folded edge in a skirt

In this DROPS video we show you how to knit a folded edge in a skirt. The edge is worked in the round. We work 6 cm stocking stitch, before we fold the cast-on edge to the back and knit the stitches from the needle together with the stitches from the cast-on edge. How to knit the twisted edge in DROPS 92-15

In this DROPS video we show how to knit the twisted edge in DROPS 92-15. Cast on and knit some rows in stockinette st. We are twisting after every 4th st, but you can twist with shorter or longer spaces. We are twisting by twisting the left needle away from us, you can twist away from you or towards you, just be consistent. On socks or sleeve edges for example you might want to make one of each to be mirrored. This technique creates a scalloped twisted edge. It is just as stretchy as a regular stocking st edge. How to knit edge stitches in double knitting

In this DROPS Video we show how to knit your edge sts in two different ways on your double knitted project. First how to work them on every row for a tight edge. Then we show how to slip the edge sts, for a looser decorative edge. Both methods will connect the sides so piece is closed each side. How to knit the neck edge to the jumper in DROPS 187-14

In this DROPS video we show how to knit the neck edge after chart A.4 in the Adele jumper in DROPS 187-14. We have already worked 2 ridges, 1 knitted round and 3 rounds from the chart A.4. We start on round 4 in the chart = round with knit 2 together and 1 yarn over (on next row knit yarn over to make a hole). When 7th round in diagram has been worked, knit 1 round before it cast off like this: Cast off by knitting but for every 4th stitch make 1 yarn over. Cast off yarn over as stitch. Fold at eyelet row in A.4 so that hem is on the inside of garment. Sew cast-off edge in the top ridge. This jumper is knitted in DROPS Belle, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. How to start a sock with a flounce

In this DROPS video we show how to start a sock with a flounce, like the “Dainty Duo” socks in DROPS 229-19. We cast on with 2 strands, but continue with 1 strand. Then we knit 4 rounds and on the next round we knit all stitches together 2 by 2. Then we work a rib (knit 1 twisted/purl 1). How to knit a twisted edge on the hat in DROPS Extra 0-1190

I this DROPS video we show how you can knit the twisted edge on the hat in DROPS Extra 0-1190. Cast on the number of stiches as stated in the pattern. On this video we have casted on 46 sts and knitted garter st until piece measures approx 5 cm, then cast off the first 23 sts on row, knit the rest of row. Knit the next row as follows from RS: Knit 23 sts, twist the last part of piece and pick up 1 st in every st from cast-on edge on piece = 46 sts on row. How to knit an edge on a shawl, while casting off

In this DROPS video we show you how to knit an edge on your shawl and at the same time binding of the stitches. When you are ready with the sts on the shawl don't turn the piece but cast on 14 new sts for shawl edge from WS. Turn the piece, K1 row over the new sts (= RS), turn the piece and knit according to diagram = 1st row in the diagram is WS. In this DROPS video we already knitted the first repeat of the edge. We start off with the second repeat of the edge: 1st row = WS: Slip 1st st as to P, K1, 1YO, K2 tog, k1 to 4 st remain of the edge sts, 1 YO, K2 tog, 2 YO, K the last two stitches. Turn the piece 2nd row = RS: K2, work only 1 of the double YO, drop the second one. K to 3 st remain of the edge st, 1 YO, K2 tog and work the last st together with the first free st from the shawl. Turn the piece and knit 3rd row of the diagram and so on. In the last row from the diagram on the RS we bind off the first 8 sts, knit the rest of the edge sts according to diagram = 14 sts on the needle and repeat the diagram again. How to cast off with a picot edge in DROPS 169-8

In this DROPS video we show you how to cast off with a picot edge. In the video we knit like this: Cast off the first 2 sts on needle. (*insert right needle in between the 2 first sts on left needle (i.e in between sts on needle not true sts), make a YO on right needle, pull the YO through the sts and slip the YO onto left needle *, repeat from *-* 2 more times (= 3 new sts on left needle). ** K first st on left needle, slip first st on right needle over last st worked **), repeat from **-** 7 times in total and repeat from (-) along the side of the shawl until 1 sts remains.
