Hi Is the circumference of the neck 42cm or 84cm?
08.01.2015 - 12:25DROPS Design answered:
Dear RHS, measurements in chart are taken flat, from side to side, circumference of the neck will be then approx. 84 cm (neck will be 42 cm from side to side when lying flat). Happy knitting!

Thanks for confirming. Just one final aspect I am a little unsure of regarding the insert needle 3/6 rows down, when you create the 2nd loop (the 3rd of the 3 sts), you stick the needle through the same stitch as you stuck it through to create the first loop. Is that correct? i.e. both loops/strands of yarn are pulled through the same stitch.
04.12.2014 - 13:37DROPS Design answered:
Dear Renée, that's correct, you will then have 3 sts instead of 1 on this place (1st st picked below + K1 + 2nd st picked below) that you will dec to 1 st on next round. Happy knitting!

I already looked at the images you are directing me to and I did not find them particularly helpful. Can you please check my post from 29/11/14 at 15:06 where I have described what I think is required for the stitch 3/6 rows down and then confirm that this is correct or not. The description provided in the pattern is too vague and should be rewritten as it is quite misleading.
03.12.2014 - 17:02DROPS Design answered:
Dear Renée, you are correct, *you insert needle some rows below, get the yarn from WS and pull it through the st (= towards RS) = you will have an extra st "loop" on right needle* - work 1 st and repeat again from *-* = 3 st on right needle - on next round, work these 3 sts: Slip 1 as if to K, K2 tog, psso. Happy knitting!

Hi I would be most grateful if someone could answer the question I sent on 29.11.2014 at 15:06. I really need an answer regarding the stitch 3/6 rows down. Thank you!

Dear Renée, sorry for late answer, you can have a look on the pictures here on the French Forum to check how to work these sts. It should help. Happy knitting!

Please confirm this is correct for insert needle in st below section: On 9th (19th) row before working st on LH needle, insert RH needle from RS into st 3/6 rows down & pull through a loop of working yarn to required length from WS to RS. This loop will lie on RS stretching up to RH needle. K1. Then stick RH needle from RS through same stitch as you stuck it through previously & pull through another loop of yarn from WS to RS to required length. Is this what you mean?
29.11.2014 - 15:06Renée wrote:
The instructions for insert needle down in st 6/3 rows below. It states; yarn should be pulled from WS to a length of 2/1.5cms. However, it was explained lwr down in this chain: you get the yarn from the WS and pull the stitch from the RS (see post from 08.10.2014 kl. 17:06). But the pattern doesn't state that you pull from the RS. Also the pictures supplied look like the whole process is done from RS. I'm confused by the instructions provided. Please clarify in detail what is required here.

You missed the first part of my question in my previous post, here it is again below: I start the decreases when the entire piece measures 10cms: i.e. 10cms including the P2/K2 ribbing?
28.11.2014 - 11:59DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs RHS and sorry for having missed this part of your question, you are correct, decreases start when piece measures 10 cm from the beg, ie including P2/K2 ribbing. Happy knitting!

I just want to double check, I start the decreases when the entire piece measures 10cms (i.e. 10cms including the P2/K2 ribbing). Also the 2 decreases (before & after the markers) consist of a K2tog and a psso. Is the psso decrease noticeable in the knitted fabric? I ask as I have never done a psso decrease before.
27.11.2014 - 18:06DROPS Design answered:
Dear RHS, when you K2 tog, dec leans right while working sl1, K1, psso leans left - see video below how to work sl 1, k1, psso. Happy knitting!
