Decreasing tip (applies to neck): Dec for neckline within 4 sts garter sts as follows (all dec are done from RS): Before 4 garter sts: K2 tog. After 4 garter sts: Slip a sts as if to knit, K1, psso. Continue with M.1B (there are 144 sts on needle now). Then knit M.2. When M.2 is completed once in height continue with M.3. After M.3 piece measures approx 35 cm / 13¾". Insert 4 markers in piece as follows: 1 markerat beg of round (= mid side), 1 marker in 37th st (mid front), 1 marker after 73rd st (mid opposite side) and 1 marker in 109th st (mid back). Continuing work M.4A. Continue with M.4B. At the same time when piece measures 41 cm / 16" bind off 6 sts on each side for armhole (= 3 sts on each side of markers in sides). Work back and front pieces separately. Size L: Work M.1A. Continuing with M.1C before the pattern is completed with M.1B (now there are 162 sts on needle). Then work M.2. Insert 4 markers into piece as follows: 1 marker at beg (= mid side), 1 marker in 41st sts (mid front), 1 marker after 81 sts (mid opposite side) and 1 marker in 122nd sts (mid back). Insert 4 markers in piece as follows: 1 marker at beg of round (= mid side), 1 marker in 46th sts (= mid front), 1 marker after 91 sts (= mid side) and 1 marker in 136th sts (= mid back). Continuing work M.4A. Continue with M.4C before this pattern finish off with M.4B. At the same time when piece measures approx 46 cm / 18" bind off 6 sts on each side for armhole (= 3 sts on each side of markers in sides). Complete front and back pieces separately. Back piece: = 65-75-83 sts. Continue binding off for armholes on every other row: 2 sts 1-2-3 times and 1 st 1-2-3 times = 59-63-65 sts. When M.4B has been worked once in height continue with M.5 until complete measurement. NOTE! Ensure a constant sts count. At the same time when piece measures 56-60-64 cm / 22"-23½"-25¼" work garter sts over middle 21-25-27 sts and the other sts as before. Continue like that for 2 cm / ¾". Now bind off middle 13-17-19 sts for neck and work each side separately. Continue and dec 1 st on each side on next row at neckline – read Decreasing tips = 22 sts left on shoulder. Work with 4 sts in garter st at neckline until piece measures 60-64-68 cm / 23½"-25¼"-26¾". Bind off loosely. Front piece: = 67-75-85 sts. Continue bind off for armhole like on back piece. At the same time when M.4B is completed (piece measures approx 42-46-48 cm / 16½"-18"-19") bind off st with marker mid front. Continue working piece in two parts. Left front piece: = Now continue with M.5 (NOTE! Ensure a constant sts count) until complete measurement, but knit 4 sts mid front in garter sts. At the same time dec for V-neck as follows –read Decreasing tips: Dec 1 st on every other row 6-7-9 times and 1 sts on every 4th row 2 times. When all dec for armhole and V-neck are completed 22 sts are left for shoulder and when piece measures 60-64-68 cm / 23½"-25¼"-26¾" bind off loosely. Right front piece: Work like left front piece but mirrored. NOTE: Work 1st row from mid front. Start by picking up 1 st that was bound off mid front and knit tog with 1st st on row (do this to avoid a "nick" at bottom of V-neck). Sleeve: Work piece around. Cast on 48 sts with Paris and insert 1 marker at beg of round and K1 round and P1 round. Continuing work M.6A. Size L and XL/XXL: Continue with M.6C. All sizes: Complete pattern with M.6B (now there are 42 sts on needle) and K1 round. Continuing work M.7. When M.7 is worked 1 time in height K1 round at the same time inc 3 sts evenly = 45 sts. Continue with M.2. When M.2 is worked once in height K1 round at the same time inc 3 sts evenly = 48 sts. Continue with M.7. After M.7 K 2 rounds and P 1 round before continuing with M.5 until complete measurement. NOTE! Ensure a constant sts count. At the same time when piece measure approx 24-28-28 cm / 9½"-11"-11" (now M.5 has been started) inc 1 sts on each side of marker, repeat on every 6.5 – 2.5- 1.5 cm / 2½"-⅞"-½" a total of 4-7-10 times = 56-62-68 sts. Incorporate new sts into pattern continuously. When piece measures 47-47-44 cm / 18½"-18½"-17¼" bind off 6 sts mid under sleeve (i.e. 3 sts on each side of marker) = 50-56-62 sts. Bind off to shape sleeve cap each side on every other row: 2 sts 2-3-3 times and 1 st 4-3-5 times. Continuing bind off 2 sts each side until piece measures 55-56-56 cm / 21½"-22"-22", then bind off 3 sts 1 time each side. Bind off remaining sts, piece measures approx 56-57-57 cm / 22"-22½"-22½". Assembly: Sew shoulder seam. Sew in sleeves. |
