Se her: I-cord kant frem og tilbage

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): Knit all rows, from both the right and wrong side. 1 ridge in height = knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. The diagram shows the pattern from the right side and is worked in stockinette stitch. INCREASE TIP (evenly spaced): To work out how to increase evenly, count the total number of stitches on the needle (e.g., 116 stitches) minus the bands (e.g., 14 stitches) and divide the remaining stitches by the number of increases to be made (e.g., 15) = 6.8. In this example, increase by making 1 yarn over after approx. each 7th stitch. Do not increase across the bands. On the next row work the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). BANDS WITH I-CORD: BEGINNING OF ROW: Work the band as follows: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise, with yarn in front, knit 1, work 5 garter stitches. END OF ROW: Work the band as follows: Work until there are 7 stitches left on the row, work 5 garter stitches, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with yarn in front, knit 1. Work like this from both the right and wrong side. BUTTONHOLES: Work the buttonholes on the right band (when garment is worn). Work from the right side until there are 5 stitches left on the row then work as follows: ROW 1 (right side): Make 1 yarn over, knit 2 together, knit 1, slip 1 purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1. ROW 2 (wrong side): Work the band as before, knit the yarn over to leave a hole. The first buttonhole is worked on the first row from the right side after the neck is finished. Then work the other 5-5-6-6-6-6 buttonholes with 9-9-8-8-8½-9 cm = 3½"-3½"-3⅛"-3⅛"-3¼"-3½" between each one. The bottom buttonhole is worked in the transition between the stockinette stitch and rib. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JACKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE. The pattern uses both long and short needles; start with the length which fits the number of stitches and change when necessary. The double neck and yoke are worked back and forth with circular needle, from mid front and top down. When the yoke is finished, it is divided for body and sleeves and the body continued back and forth with circular needle, while the sleeves wait. The sleeves are worked in the round, top down. The neck is folded to the inside and sewn down. NECK: Cast on 104-108-112-116-120-124 stitches with circular needle size 4 MM = US 6 and color marzipan DROPS Daisy or color light beige DROPS Karisma. Change to circular needle size 3 MM = US 2.5 (casting on with a larger needle size makes the cast-on edge elastic). Purl 1 row from the wrong side. Work the next row as follows from the right side: 1 GARTER STITCH – read description above, * knit 2, purl 2 *, work from *-* until there are 3 stitches left, knit 2 and 1 garter stitch. Continue this rib back and forth for 4 cm = 1½". Now cast on 6 stitches at the end of the next 2 rows = 116-120-124-128-132-136 stitches. Continue the rib but with the outermost 7 stitches on each side worked according to BANDS WITH I-CORD – read description above. Work until the neck measures 9 cm = 3½" – finishing after a row from the wrong side. The neck is folded double later to leave a neck-height of approx. 4 cm = 1½". Insert 1 marker inside one band; the piece is now measured from here. YOKE: Change to circular needle size 4 MM = US 6. Work the first row from the right side as follows: Work the band as before, 102-106-110-114-118-122 stitches in stockinette stitch, increasing 15-17-16-19-21-23 stitches evenly across these stitches – read INCREASE TIP, then work the band as before – remember the first BUTTONHOLE – read description above = 131-137-140-147-153-159 stitches. Continue the bands and stockinette stitch. Remember to maintain the knitting gauge. When the yoke measures 3-3-4-4-4-4 cm = 1⅛"-1⅛"-1½"-1½"-1½"-1½" from the marker, increase 30-34-33-37-43-45 stitches evenly spaced – remember INCREASE TIP (do not increase across the bands) = 161-171-173-184-196-204 stitches. Continue the bands and stockinette stitch until the yoke measures 5-6-7-8-9-9 cm = 2"-2⅜"-2¾"-3⅛"-3½"-3½" from the marker. On the next row from the right side, work PATTERN – read description above, as follows: Work the band as before with color marzipan/light beige, work A.1 across the next 147-157-159-170-182-190 stitches, increasing 46-48-52-59-65-69 stitches evenly across these stitches, work the first stitch in A.1, work the band as before in color marzipan/light beige = 207-219-225-243-261-273 stitches (there is room for 32-34-35-38-41-43 repeats of A.1 after this increase). Continue the pattern, increasing stitches on each row marked with an arrow in A.1 as follows – remember INCREASE TIP (do not increase across the bands): Arrow-1: Increase 48-60-54-60-66-78 stitches evenly spaced = 255-279-279-303-327-351 stitches. Arrow-2: Increase 48-48-60-60-66-72 stitches evenly spaced = 303-327-339-363-393-423 stitches. Arrow-3: Increase 38-26-38-50-56-50 stitches evenly spaced (now end the pattern-row with the first 3 stitches in A.1, so the pattern is symmetrical on both front pieces) = 341-353-377-413-449-473 stitches. When A.1 is completed in height, work 1 row and adjust the stitch count to 344-360-384-412-448-472 stitches. Finish the jacket with color marzipan/light beige. Work until the yoke measures 23-24-25-26-28-30 cm = 9"-9½"-9¾"-10¼"-11"-11¾" from the marker. DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: Work the first 58-61-64-68-75-80 stitches as before (= front piece), place the next 62-64-70-76-80-82 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 6-8-10-12-12-14 stitches (in side mid-under sleeve), work 104-110-116-124-138-148 stitches (= back piece), place the next 62-64-70-76-80-82 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 6-8-10-12-12-14 stitches (in side mid-under sleeve), work the last 58-61-64-68-75-80 stitches as before (= front piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately. BODY: = 232-248-264-284-312-336 stitches. Continue with the bands and stockinette stitch until the piece measures 45-47-49-49-51-53 cm = 17¾"-18½"-19¼"-19¼"-20"-21" from the marker. On the next row from the right side, begin the rib and increase 24-24-28-28-32-36 stitches evenly spaced (do not increase across the bands) = 256-272-292-312-344-372 stitches, working as follows: Change to circular needle size 3 MM = US 2.5. Work the band as before, rib (knit 2. purl 2 – remember the increases) until there are 9 stitches left, knit 2 and work the band as before. When the rib measures 6-6-6-7-7-7 cm = 2⅜"-2⅜"-2⅜"-2¾"-2¾"-2¾", bind off. The jacket measures approx. 51-53-55-56-58-60 cm = 20"-21"-21⅝"-22"-22¾"-23⅝" from the marker and 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm = 22"-22¾"-23⅝"-24⅜"-25¼"-26" from top of shoulder. SLEEVES: Place the 62-64-70-76-80-82 sleeve-stitches from the thread on one side of the piece on circular needle size 4 MM = US 6 and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 6-8-10-12-12-14 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 68-72-80-88-92-96 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the 6-8-10-12-12-14 stitches under the sleeve. Start at the marker-thread and work stockinette stitch in the round with color marzipan/light beige. When the sleeve measures 3-3-3-2-2-2 cm = 1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-¾"-¾"-¾", decrease 2 stitches under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 8-8-4-3-2½-2 cm = 3⅛"-3⅛"-1½"-1⅛"-1"-¾" a total of 5-5-8-11-12-13 times = 58-62-64-66-68-70 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 38-38-37-36-35-33 cm = 15"-15"-14½"-14¼"-13¾"-13" from the division. Change to double pointed needles size 3 MM = US 2.5. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2), AT THE SAME TIME increase 6-6-4-6-8-6 stitches evenly on the first round = 64-68-68-72-76-76 stitches. When the rib measures 6-6-6-7-7-7 cm = 2⅜"-2⅜"-2⅜"-2¾"-2¾"-2¾", bind off. The sleeve measures approx. 44-44-43-43-42-40 cm = 17¼"-17¼"-17"-17"-16½"-15¾" from the division. ASSEMBLY: Fold the neck double to the inside and sew down. To avoid the neck being tight and rolling outwards, it is important that the seam is elastic. Sew together the openings on each band with small stitches. Sew the buttons onto the left band. |
