Skal det ikke felles av til ermet på forstykket?
19.11.2024 - 18:46DROPS Design answered:
Hej Bjørg. Jo du stickar på samma sätt som bakstycket till forstykket måler 46-48-49-51-52-54 cm. dvs når forstykker måler 33-34-35-36-37-38 cm, felles det av til ermehull i hver side: Fell av 4-6-7-8-10-13 masker på begynnelsen av hver av de 2 neste pinnene = 64-66-70-74-78-82 masker. How much yarn do I need, if i only want to do stripes in two colours? Thanks in advance
19.10.2024 - 00:32DROPS Design answered:
Dear Sina, that largely depends on the size of your piece, your gauge, the way you plan the stripes, etc. If you want to do this piece in one color, you would need about 500-550 grams of yarn, this should be divided for the stripes. Happy Knitting.

Hej! Hur stickas ärmkullen?
16.08.2024 - 14:09DROPS Design answered:
Hei Malin.

Buon lavoro!

Can you confirm the amount of balls required for each color? There seems to be a misprint indicating 100 balls
28.01.2024 - 21:06DROPS Design answered:
Dear Michele, it's not a misprint. It indicates the amount of yarn in grams required (100-100-100-100-100-100 "g" colour 01, off white). Since they are 50gr balls, you would need 2 balls of the first colour for all sizes. The other colours are calculated in the same way. Happy knitting!

I'm about to make this top in Melody and I wanted to link to the original pattern on Ravelry but you don't have it there. You have so many of your patterns in Ravelry but not this one! Anyway, temporarily I've started my project on Ravelry with the picture above and a link to this page on your website, but please add it in! It's lovely and I can't wait to knit with Melody. (I love your yarn and patterns and I'm lucky to have a yarn store nearby that sells some of your yarn.)

Dear Mrs Marshall, thanks for noticing, pattern is now in Ravelry. Happy knitting!

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge vertically = knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. INCREASE TIP (applies to sleeves): Work until 2 stitches remain before marker thread, make 1 yarn over, knit 4 (marker thread is in the middle of these 4 stitches), make 1 yarn over. On next round knit yarns over twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stockinette stitch. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- SWEATER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work front piece and back piece back and forth on circular needle, bottom up, separately. Work sleeves in the round on double pointed needles/a short circular needle. When piece is sewn together, work the neck edge in the round. BACK PIECE: Cast on 79-85-91-97-105-117 stitches on circular needle size 5 MM = US 8 with color off white in DROPS Melody. Purl 1 row from wrong side. Then work rib as follows (1st row = right side): 1 edge stitch in GARTER STITCH - read explanation above - * knit 1, purl 1 *, work from *-* until 2 stitches remain, finish with knit 1 and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. When rib measures 4 cm = 1½", switch to circular needle size 6 MM = US 10. Work in stockinette stitch in stripes according to diagram A.1, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each side. AT THE SAME TIME on first row from right side decrease 7-7-7-7-7-9 stitches evenly = 72-78-84-90-98-108 stitches. When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, repeat A.2 vertically. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! When piece measures 33-34-35-36-37-38 cm = 13"-13⅜"-13¾"-14¼"-14½"-15", bind off for armholes in each side: Bind off 4-6-7-8-10-13 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows = 64-66-70-74-78-82 stitches. When piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm = 19¾"-20½"-21¼"-22"-22¾"-23⅝", bind off the middle 22-24-24-26-28-28 stitches for neck. Finish each shoulder separately. Then bind off 1 stitch on next row from neck = 20-20-22-23-24-26 stitches for shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm = 20½"-21¼"-22"-22¾"-23⅝"-24⅜". Work the other shoulder the same way. FRONT PIECE: Cast on the same number of stitches as on back piece, and work as back piece until piece measures 46-48-49-51-52-54 cm = 18"-19"-19¼"-20"-20½"-21¼". Then slip the middle 16-18-18-20-22-22 stitches on a thread for neck. Finish each shoulder separately. Then bind off on every row from neck as follows: Bind off 2 stitches 1 time and 1 stitch 2 times = 20-20-22-23-24-26 stitches on shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm = 20½"-21¼"-22"-22¾"-23⅝"-24⅜". Work the other shoulder the same way. SLEEVE: Cast on 52-54-56-58-60-62 stitches on double pointed needles size 5 MM = US 8 with color off white. Knit 1 round, then work rib (knit 1/purl 1). When rib measures 4 cm = 1½", switch to double pointed needles size 6 MM = US 10. Knit 1 round while decreasing 6 stitches evenly = 46-48-50-52-54-56 stitches. Insert a marker thread at beginning of round = mid under sleeve. Continue with stockinette stitch and stripes. When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, repeat A.2 until finished measurements. When piece measures 31-29-29-28-27-24 cm = 12¼"-11⅜"-11⅜"-11"-10⅝"-9½", increase 1 stitch on each side of marker thread - read INCREASE TIP. Increase like this every 4 cm = 1½" 4 times in total = 54-56-58-60-62-64 stitches. When sleeve measures 47-45-44-44-42-40 cm = 18½"-17¾"-17¼"-17¼"-16½"-15¾", work sleeve cap back and forth (from mid under sleeve) on circular needle until finished measurements. Work until sleeve measures approx. 49 cm = 19¼" in all sizes, i.e. there is a vent of 2-4-5-5-7-9 cm = ¾"-1½"-2"-2"-2¾"-3½" at the top of sleeve. Bind off. Work another sleeve the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew sleeve cap to armhole. Then sew vent at the top of sleeve to bottom of armhole - see chart. Sew side seams inside 1 edge stitch. NECK EDGE: Use a small circular needle size 5 MM = US 8 and color off white, start at one shoulder seam and knit up approx. 54 to 70 stitches around the neck (including stitches on thread). Number of stitches must be divisible 2. Work rib (knit 1/purl 1) until neck edge measures 4 cm = 1½". Loosely bind off with knit. |
