Rnd 2, purl. Repeat from * - *. Bobble: Row 1: Inc to 4 sts in 1 st by knitting alternately into the front and back of the st. Row 2: Purl 4, turn. Row 3: Knit 4, turn. Row 4: Purl 4, turn. Row 5: Knit 4, pass the first 3 sts over the 4th st. Pattern: See chart. One chart equals one repeat of the pattern. The pattern is seen from the right side. Rib: * Knit 2, purl 2 *. Repeat from * - *. Body: Cast on 174 (186-198) 210 sts on larger needles with double strand Pelliza and knit two rows in garter st. Size S/M: alternately every 3rd and 4th row. Size XL: every 5th row. = 78 (82-82) 82 sts. Knit the increased sts into Pattern 2 as you go along. When the work measures 47 (46-45) 45 cm [18.5" (18-⅛" - 17.75") 17.75"] bind off 2 sts on each side of the marker and knit the rest back and forth on the needles. Bind off for sleeve caps on each side every other row: 3 sts 7 (8-9) 9 times. Bind off. The work measures approximately 54 (54-54) 54 cm [21-⅝"]. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Zipper pouches: Pick up approximately 90-100 sts (4 sts in from the edge) along the left front from the right side on smaller needles with Alaska and knit 4 rows stockinette st. Bind off. Repeat along the right front. Insert the zipper into the pouches and sew (cut off any extra zipper length at the top and fold the upper 1 cm [3/8"] double). Sew on the sleeves. Hood: Pick up 62 (66-66) 66 sts around the neck and over the zipper pouches on smaller needles with Alaska and knit in rib for 2 cm [0.75"]. Inc 36 (32-32) 32 sts evenly distributed on the last row. 98 (98-98) 98 sts. Change to larger needles and knit the next row as follows (all sizes): 17 sts in garter st in double strand Pelliza, 64 sts in stockinette Alaska, 17 sts garter st in double strand Pelliza. When changing yarns twist the strands around each other on the wrong side. When the hood measures 36 cm [14-⅛"] put all sts on a stitch holder. Sew together at the top center with invisible sts. |
