Hogyan olvassuk a kötésminták mintarajzait?

Egy kötéshez használt diagram négyzetekbõl áll 1 négyzet = 1 szem. A szimbólum magyarázata mondja el, hogyan kell az adott szemet kötnünk. A diagraok a szemeket mindig a darab színe oldala felõl mutatják (kivéve, ha azt a szövegben másképp jelezzük).

Egy diagram így néz ki:

Az A.1 jel a diagram jele, és az egész diagramra vonatkozik.
Az A.2 jelû minta csak a teljes diagramnak az a része, ami a szögletes zárójelek között van.
Ez a szám a diagram elsõ sorában a szemek számát mjutatja.
Ez a szimbólum magyarázata, elmondja, hogyan kell az adott szemet kötni, vagy (több színnel kötött minták esetében) milyen színnel.

A diagramokat a normális olvasással ellentétes irányban olvassuk: jobbról balra, lentrõl felfelé haladva. Más szóval: a jobb alsó sarokban található szimbólummal kezdünk, és onnan balra és felfelé haladunk tovbb (figyeljük a piros jelet az alábbi diagramban). Amennyiben mási ponton, másik szemmel kell kezdenünk, ezt mindig megadjuk: például, ha a különbözõ méretek, ugyananak a diagramnak a különbözõ pontjain kezdõdnek (figyeljük meg a kék jelet alább).

Ha a diagramnak több ismétlését kell elkészítenünk (vagyis ugyanazt a diagramot egymás mellett többször ismételjük), kössünk a doagram sorának végéig, és kezdjük újra az elsõ szemmel a következõ ismétléshez.

Oda-vissza haladva:

Amikor oda-vissza haladva kötünk, minden második sort a jobb oldalról kezdünk, és minden második sort a bal oldalról (vagyis egy sort jobbról, a következõ sort balról, egy sort jobbról, stb.) Mivel a diagram minden szemet a SZO felõl mutat amikor a fonákoldal felõl dolgozunk, a diagramon az ellentétes irányba kell haladnunk (figyeljük meg a kék nyilat az alábbi diagrammban)., vagyis a a sort balról jobbra haladva olvassuk, a S szemnek ábrázol szemeket fordítottan kötjük, a F szemnek ábrázol szemeket simán, stb (ezt gyakran a jelmagyarázatban is leírjuk). pl: "sima a színe oldalon, fordított a fonákoldalon" )

Körben haladva:

Amikor örben haladva kötünk, minden sort a SZO felõl kötünk, és a diagram minden sorát jobbról balra haladva olvassuk. Amikor új kört kezdünk, kezdjünk a diagram következõ sorának elsõ szimbólumától.

Több, eltérõ diagramot kell készítenünk egymás után a sorban / körben:

Ha a sorban / körben egymás után több, különbözõ diagramot kell készítenünk, a következõ módon haladjunk: Kössük az 1. diagram 1. sorát, folytassuk a 2. diagram 1. sorával, majd a 3. diagram 1. sorával, stb. NE FELEDKEZZÜNK MEG ARRÓL, hogy ha oda-vissza haladva kötünk, a FO sorait ellentétes irányba (balról jobbra kell olvasni), és a körben is a 3. diagrammal kezdünk, folytatjuk a 2. diagrammal, és utoljára a 3. diagrammal fejezzük be a sort. Vagyis a szokásostól ellentétes sorrendben készítjük õket.

A mintában ezt így írhatjuk le: *Készítsük az A.1, az A.2 jelû, mintát, és az A.3 jelû mintát egymás mellett összesen 1-1-2-3-4 alkalommal. Ez azt jelenti, hogy elõször az A.1 jelû mintát készítjük el, majd az A.2 jelût, végül az A.3 jelû mintát (a mérettõl függõen) 1-1-2-3-4 alkalommal. CSAK az A.3 jelû mintát ismételjük, az A.1 és A.2 jelû mintát csak 1 alkalommal kötjük.

Amikor a szemek száma nem illeszkedik a diagram teljes ismétléseihez:

Elõfordulhat, hogy a szemek száma nem osztható a teljes mintaegység (ismétlés) szemeinek számával maradék nélkül. Például: Az A.1 jelû mintát 12 szemen kötjük, és 40 szemen kell ismételnünk. Ebben az esetbenkössünk 3 teljes ismétlést az A.1 jelû mintából (= 36 szem), majd kössü a diagramelsõ 4 szemét a megmaradt szemeken (figyeljük meg a piros vonalat alább). Ez általában olyan esetre vonatkozik, ahol a diagram intája ismétlõdõ, tehát a mintha akkor is konzisztens marad, ha nem teljes mintaegységet kötünk belõle.

Hi drops team, Ik brei de Celtic Harmony Cardigan, Drops 241-18 en kom niet uit het telpatroon. Ik brei heen en weer, dus dan snap ik de teruggaande naald in het tel-stroom niet. Gaat dit telpatroon er vanuit dat je in de rondte breit? Dan zou je wel altijd op de goede kant zitten.

Dear Ruth, after working chart A.1 over all 3 stitches and increasing to 5 stitches you will work a new pattern as follows: Work the first row of A.2 over the first 2 stitches, work the middle stitch in garter stitch and work the last 2 stitches as in the first row of A.3 (= 2 increases). On the next row you will work the next row of chart A.3 over A.3, garter stitch over garter stitch and the next row of A.2 over A.2. Work like this until you work the last row of A.3. Now continue with A.2 as before and A.3 over the last 2 stitches and the section in garter stitch will increase by 1 stitch each time you work A.3 from the bottom up. Happy knitting!

I am knitting pattern 263-3 and cant understand how to keep 3 raglan stitches......I knit the first row of pattern and when i do the three for raglan stitches with the yarn overs I get five stitches and then when I start the A1 chart I cant get down to three stitches.Please help!

Dear Donna, the raglan stitches are the three rightmost in A.1 and 3 leftmost stitches in A.3. You always will have 1 edge stitch (cross square) and 2 stitches in stocking stitch (white squares) before (in A.1)/ after (in A.3) the yarn overs while you will start the pattern as in chart A.2 over the new stitches after the yarn over (A.1) / before the yarn over (A.3). So those 3 stitches, which are always the same as you can see in each row of the charts, are the raglan stitches, while all other new stitches are worked as in chart A.2 (knit/purl stitches). I am currently knitting the Dream in Blue Baby sweater - but I am not sure I understand the instruction for the passe correctly. I knitted the first round and did the increases as described in the following round. I started with 58 stitches, after 8 increases in this first round I have 66 stitches now. How should I continue? I don’t understand how I can maintain 8 increases per round when the number of stitches increases and I should include an increase after each A1. Could you elaborate?

Dear Lena, you should increase for the raglan on each side of each A.1 just as you did on first round (there will be just more stitches between each A.1), and increase like this on every other round = 1 round with 8 increases, 1 round without incraeses, repeat these 2 rounds a total of 13 times in 2nd size = 58 sts + (8x13) = 162 sts when all increases are done. Jeg strikker swing by spring cardigan str. 3/4 år. Har strikket efter diagram A1 og A2. Mit resultat ligner ikke det på billedet. A1 har kun 4 rækker i højden, A2 str(2-4) har 6 rækker i højden. Skal jeg fortsat strikke ret fra A1 diagram, når jeg strikker5 og 6 række fra diagram A2 ? Hei Susanne. Ja, fortsett med A.1 i høyden når du strikker 5. o g 6. rad i A.2. Plagget blir da likt i hver side (med 1 rett maske i hver side før/etter stolpen). Du skal ha 139 masker når du har strikket A.1 / A.2 1 gang i høyden. Hej, jeg er gået i gang med Cotswolds Sweater, men forstår ikke diagrammet. På første omgang med mønster strikkes først 1 gang A.1.A (3 masker), dernæst 10 gange A.1.B, så 1 gang (4 masker). Ved næste omgang med mønster (3.række i diagrammet) passer diagrammet ikke til samme metode, da 3.rækkes A, B og C flyder sammen, og er ikke længere henholdsvis 3 (A.1.A), 6 (A.1.B) og 4 (A.1.C) masker. Hvordan kan man så kun strikke A og C én gang og B 10 gange? Mvh Bella

Hei Bella. Når du strikker 3. rad og A og B første gang, strikkes det 1 maske fra A og 2 masker fra B sammen. Når du skal gjenta B strikker du siste maske i B sammen med de 2 første maskene av B. Når du skal strikke B siste gang strikker du siste maske av B sammen med de 2 første maskene av C. Bruk maksemarkører mellom hvert diagram, så har du en bedre oversikt. mvh DROPS Design

On the A2 graph I am at the point of the graph where there is an increase at the start of the row. Does this mean 1 increase and then knit the row? Hej! Enl mönstret ”desert Mirage sweater”stlk L läggs det upp 128 maskor som delas in i mönstret A1, A2 över 9 maskor, A2,A2 över nästa 41 maskor. Detta upprepas en gång till. Dear Elizabeth, when working the lace pattern for this jumper you will never get 2 yarn overs next to each other, but rather at least 1 stitch in between, for ex, A.1 starts here with k2 otg, K2, YO, K1, YO, K2, etc... Happy knitting!

Hello, I am knitting Ivory Whisper Sweater and this is my first charted pattern. I couldn’t understand the part where I should knit A1, A2, A3, A4 when I am knitting the left shoulder. A,1 and A2-3 charts does not have the same amount of rows because I am knitting the size M and A-2 starts from the middle. And the pattern says I should finish A1 in height. But there aren’t enough A2-3 in height. How should I continue? Should I repeat the last row from A2-3 or should I start from beginning?

Dear Rabia, start diagrams at the arrow for your size, at the very beginning there is just 1 stitch in A.1, but then when y ou will start the lace pattern in A.1 it should match the same pattern row in the other diagrams. At the same time, when A.2, A.3 and A.4 are done in height, start them from the very first row (and continue A.1) Happy knitting!

Dear Jaiden, this diagram is split because you will decrease stitches, and as the diagram is worked "in columns", the stitches that are decreased are then "missing" so that you just have to skip the empty spaces and work the next sts, so on 2nd round A.1 work: K2, P1, K2, P2, K2, P1, K2, P2 and so on after the next decreases. Dear Veronika, if by "tooth" you mean the round where the black triangle sticks out, while the beginning of the round is one stitch into the round then the round has a small displacement. You start working the chart with the yarn over and work the last stitch of this repeat of the chart with the first stitch of the next repeat of the chart on the round. Then, in the last repeat, you work the very last stitch together with the first stitch of the round. You may need to move your markers for this round due to the displacement of the chart.
