Crochet: Granny square with color change

They are so popular and can be used on so many projects. In this DROPS Video we show how to make one. After each color change, work around the old yarn end to fasten before cutting it. Chain 6 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: 3 ch, 2 dc in ring, * 3 ch, 3 dc *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times and finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Turn piece. Change color. ROUND 2: 3 ch, 2 dc in first ch-space, 3 ch, 3 dc in the same ch-space, * 1 ch, 3 dc in the next ch-space, 3 ch, 3 dc in the same ch-space *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, finish with 1 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Turn piece. Change color. How to crochet Larksfoot stitches

In this DROPS video we show how we crochet Larksfoot stitches. Work a number of chain stitches that are multiples by 4+1. We have already crocheted a chain row with 21 chain stitches and we have selected to crochet with 3 colors. ROW 1: Work 1 double crochet in the 4th chain stitch from the hook, 1 double crochet in the next chain stitch, * 1 chain stitch, skip 1 stitch, 1 double crochet in each of the 3 next stitches *, repeat * - * the entire row, turn. ROW 2: Work 3 chain stitch, (= 1 double crochet), 1 double crochet in each of the 2 next double crochets, * 1 chain stitch, skip 1 stitch, 1 double crochet in each of the 3 next double crochets *, repeat * - * the entire row (the last treble finishes in 3rd chain stitch from beginning of previous row, at the same time the last pull through is done with a new color), turn. ROW 3: Work 3 chain stitch (= 1 double crochet), * 1 chain stitch, skip 1 stitch, 1 double crochet in next double crochet, 1 long double crochet around chain stitch from 1st row / 2 rows below, 1 double crochet in next stitch *, repeat * - * the entire row and finish with 1 chain stitch, skip 1 stitch and 1 double crochet in the 3rd chain stitch from beginning of previous row, turn. Repeat 2nd to 5th row to desired length. In video we work row 1-5 one time, then 2nd row once more. We use DROPS Snow in the video, but the other swatch is crochetet in DROPS Puna, crochet hook size 4.0 mm/G/6, 40+1 chain stitch, row 1 is crocheted 1 time, row 2-5 is crocheted 4 times and then row 2 one more time.
