How to crochet rows with puff stitches and 3 double crochets between.

There are several ways to crochet puff stitches, in this DROPS video we show how to crochet a row of puff stitches without chain stitch on the "top" of the puff stitch and with 3 single crochets between each puff. On next row, work 1 double crochet in each stitch. Start each row with 3 chain stitch (= double crochet). We have already worked a chain stitch row and show how to crochet the first puff stitch on the 4th chain stitch from the hook like this: *Make 1 yarn over, insert hook through chain stitch, make 1 yarn over and pull through chain stitch, pull both yarn overs the same length (to avoid small and dense puff stitches it is important to pull the yarn overs long,) *, work from *-* 5 times in total, make a yarn over and pull yarn through all loops on hook. Work 1 double crochet in each off the 3 next stitches. Repeat the puff stitch and the 3 double crochets the entire row and finish the row with a double crochet in the last stitch, turn and start next row. Crochet 3 chain stitches (= 1 double crochet). Crochet 1 double crochet in each of the stitch all the row out. Repeat these 2 rows in the height. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.

How to crochet a pot holder with puff stitches

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet the pot holder “Tea Break” with puff stitches after charts A.1, A.2 and A.3 in DROPS Extra 0-1483. We have a fewer stitches then it says in the pattern and we show row 2 and 3 after the charts. How to crochet a puff stitch with 9 loops

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet a puff stitch with 9 loops. We have already worked 2 puff stitches with 5 double crochets between and show how do work a puff stitch twice. Work like this: * Make 1 yarn over, insert hook in double crochet from last row, get the yarn and pull yarn through and make it 2 cm = 3/4" long *, repeat from *-* 4 times in total = 9 loops on hook, make a yarn over and pull yarn through all 9 loops. Star stitch pattern - crochet

You start by chaining an uneven number of sts. You need a minimum of 7 ch for 1 star, 9 ch makes 2 stars, 11 ch makes 3 stars and so on. On our sample we ch 13 for 4 stars. Row 3: Ch 3, pick up 1 st in 2nd and 3rd chain from hook, 1 st in first 3 sts on row = 6 sts on hook, make a yo and pull through all 6 sts, ch 1, *pick up 1 st in the hole, 1 st in the side of the last st of 6 sts, 1 st in the same st as the last st of 6 sts was picked up in, 1 st in each of next 2 sts = 6 sts on hook, make a yo and pull through all 6 sts, ch 1*, repeat *-*. Granny stripes

Ever so popular crochet granny stripes. Chain a number of sts that can be divided by 3, we are ch 18 in the video. 1st row: 3 dc in the 6th ch from hook, *skip 2 ch, 3 dc in the next ch* , repeat from *-* until end of row. Turn the piece. 2nd row: 3 ch, 3 dc in between the 2 first dc groups from previous row, *3 dc in between the next 2 dc groups*, repeat from *-* until end of row and finish with 3 dc in the ch space from beginning of previous row - when making the last pull through on the last dc, change color if you want the stripes in different colors. You can chose either to cut the yarn and fasten it later (shown in video at the very end), or letting the yarn follow up along the edge if you will do a border around your piece after. Repeat the 2nd row.

How to crochet a basket weave pattern

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet a basket weave pattern. In this DROPS video we show how to crochet a rib pattern that looks like it has been knitted (K1 P1). Row 1: Crochet the number of chain stitches you want, in the video we have 12, turn. In this DROPS video we show how we crochet Larksfoot stitches. Work a number of chain stitches that are multiples by 4+1. We have already crocheted a chain row with 21 chain stitches and we have selected to crochet with 3 colors.
