In this DROPS video we show how to increase on each side of a marker thread by working 2 stitches in the same stitch. Increase on each side of marker as follows: Work until 4 stitches remain before marker thread, increase 1 stitch in next stitch, work 6 stitches (marker thread is in the middle of these 6 stitches), increase 1 stitch in next stitch (= 2 stitches increased at the marker thread and 4 stitches increased in total on row). We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video You must read a pattern to be able to follow this video properly. You’ll find a pattern with this technique by clicking on the picture below.

When working a round yoke top down you can increase by using markers on the row and work the increases alternatively on the right and the left of each marker. In this DROPS video we show you how to do this. Here we work back and forth, but the technique is the same if you work in the round. In this DROPS video we how to make 3 strands out of 1 single strand from a ball of yarn. 1. Make a simple loop (like the loop worked when you begin any crochet project) and pull it to approx. 2-3 cm = ¾"-1⅛" in length. 2. Thread the strand from the skein through this loop, creating a new loop of approx. 40-50 cm = 15¾"-19¾". 3. Lay this loop alongside the working strand, so 1 strand becomes 3 strands. 4. Knit or crochet using these 3 strands until there is approx. 2 cm = ¾" left. Repeat points 2 to 4.
