How to work 7 stitches in 1 stitch

In this DROPS video we show how we increase 6 stitches by knitting 7 stitches in 1 stitch. We work stockinette stitch and round.
Work 7 stitches in same stitch as follows: Knit 1, but wait to drop the stitch worked off left needle, * 1 yarn over, knit 1 in same stitch *, work from *-* 3 times in total, drop stitch worked off the needle.

You can also use this technique to increase less or more stitches in the same way.
