How to increase 2 stitches in 1 stitch with yarn over - back and forth

In this DROPS video we show how we increase with 2 stitches by knitting 2 stitches in the same stich + 1 yarn over. We show it 3 times in the video, both how to do in from the right side and from the wrong side.

Knit 1, but wait with slipping the stitch off the left needle, 1 yarn over right needle, knit 1 in same stitch, then slip the stitch from the left needle. On next row purl yarn over twisted to avoid holes (= 2 stitches increase).

We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.

In this DROPS video we show you how to work 2 stitches in the outermost stitch in each side of a piece (from right side and from wrong side), as required for the back piece of the Unicorn Speckles jumper (DROPS 264-2). In this DROPS video we show how to increase 2 stitches to 4 stitches. We show the increases twice and how the increases stitches are worked in the next row. Knit 2 together but do not slip the stitches from the left needle, make 1 yarn over, knit 1 through the back loop of each of the same 2 stitches on the left needle, then slip the stitches off the left needle = 2 stitches have become 4 stitches (yarn over is purled twisted on next row to avoid a hole).
