Crochet: Fan edge around the blanket in 163-1.

In this DROPS video we show how to work the fan edge around the blanket in DROPS 163-1. FAN EDGE: Work sl sts until ch before first dc-group, work 1 ch, then work as shown in diagram A.6, i.e. work as follows: ROUND 1: Work 1 sc in every dc and 1 sc around every ch from previous round, finish round with 1 sl st in ch at beg of round. ROUND 2: * Skip 3 sc, 10 dc in next sc (= 1 fan), skip 3 sc, 1 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round but adjust so that there is a fan in each corner on blanket (as shown in A.6A). In this video we only show a little bit of the blanket (we do not work around), so REMEMBER - you will need to read the pattern to be able to follow. How to crochet askew puff stitch

In this DROPS video we show you have to crochet askew puff stitches. Cast on an odd number of chain stitches + 2 chain stitches. In the video we have 13 + 2chain stitches. ROW 1: Insert the crochet hook into the 3rd chain stitch from hook, pick up yarn and pull it through, yarn over and insert the crochet hook into the same stich, pick up yarn and pull it through, yarn over and insert the crochet hook In the same stitch, pick up yarn and pull it through = 6 sts on hook. Yarn over and pull thread through all 6 sts, 1 chain stitch = 1st puff stitch. * Skip 1 stitch, put crochet hook into next stitch, pick up yarn and pull it through, yarn over and insert the hook into the same stitch, pick up yarn and pull it through, yarn over and insert the hook into the same stitch, pick up yarn and pull it through = 6 stitches on needle. Yarn over and pull the thread through all 6 stitches, 1 chain stitch *, repeat * - * all the row = 7 puff stitches. Turn. ROW 2: Change color, work 2 chain stitches. * Insert the crochet hook into the 1ststitch in the puff stitch from the previous row, pick up yarn and pull it through, yarn over and insert the crochet hook into the same stitch, pick up yarn and pull it through, yarn over and insert the crochet hook into same stitch, pick up yarn and pull it through = 6 stitches on crochet hook. Yarn over and pull the thread through all 6 stitches and work 1 chain stitch *, repeat * - * all the row = 7 puff stitches that turn the other way. Turn. Crochet: Granny square with color change

They are so popular and can be used on so many projects. In this DROPS Video we show how to make one. After each color change, work around the old yarn end to fasten before cutting it. Chain 6 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: 3 ch, 2 dc in ring, * 3 ch, 3 dc *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times and finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Turn piece. Change color. ROUND 2: 3 ch, 2 dc in first ch-space, 3 ch, 3 dc in the same ch-space, * 1 ch, 3 dc in the next ch-space, 3 ch, 3 dc in the same ch-space *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, finish with 1 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round.
