Typo in pattern directions: " NOTE: The sts that do not the pattern when..." What is missing in "...do not the pattern...."?

Dear Cheryl, when you bind off the sts, you cannot work the pattern over the same number of repeats as before, work in stocking st the sts that cannot be worked anymore in pattern. Happy knitting!

Buon lavoro!

GARTER ST (back and forth on circular needle): K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. Diagram shows all rows in pattern seen from RS. Turn piece and work as before over all sts, turn piece, K over the outermost 16-20-22-16-20-26 sts, turn piece, tighten thread and K back *, repeat from *-* after approx. every 5.cm. BUTTONHOLES: Dec for buttonholes in each side of front piece as follows: K fourth and fifth st from edge tog and make 1 YO, work as before until 5 sts remain on row, make 1 YO, K 2 tog and work the last 3 sts on row as before.
