I'm doing the 5/6 yrs just on sleeves and states measurement 34cm under arm that's extremely long. For 5yr old. Is that a mistake? And sleeves fairly wide. Have right amount of stitches as stated longer too!
12.05.2022 - 15:10DROPS Design answered:
Dear Sylvia, compare a similar garment the girl has and likes to the measurements on the chart and then just adjust to the required size. If your tension is right and kept, sleeve should fit nicely around armhole. Happy knitting!

Mythily wrote:
Please let me know how many stitches will be there when you bind off the sleeves. You have given the measurement but not number of stitches. Thank you.
29.08.2019 - 22:53DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mythily, we only give the height in cm and not the remaining number of stitches since you have to bind off 2 stitches on each side until piece measures 38-53 cm (see size), depending on your tension in height, the number of cast-off rows will be different and number of remaining stitches will too, that's the reason why we only give the height in cm so that sleeve cap has the correct measurements. Happy knitting!

Please explain how the front comes back together as one after decreasing for neck. Cheers
30.05.2019 - 13:47DROPS Design answered:
Dear Avril, jacket is worked in one piece (= back and front piece) to the armholes, then you divide pieces and finish separately back piece and each front piece. On front piece, you then put on a thread the stitches towards neck and decrease for neck. These stitches will be then slip back onto needle and worked for neck at the same time as the stitches picked up along neck (see ASSEMBLY). Happy knitting!

Can I get a sizing table for the age sizes listed. I began this for my 10 yr old and thougg guard was spot on this garment seems huge. If I use her jeans I can wrap the beginning ribbing using mid point placed at middle back with each front edge wrapping across to opposite hip. Thanks for any US size chart that corresponds to age options in pattern
03.01.2017 - 18:11DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Mallory, you will find a measurement chart at the bottom of the pattern, the measurements are in cm, taken flat from side to side. Compare these to a similar garment she has and like the shape to find out the matching size. Read more here. Happy knitting!
