Hello there, I again have problems with understanding the patterns. Can you explain how to start the pieces? There should be one back part, 2 front parts and 2 sleeves. However at the beginning you instruct to start with 199 cats for the back and front piece but they are supposed to be knitted in parts, no? Then you instruct to start with 65 for the back and 39-39 for the fronts (in size S). So, what does the beginning refers to? Please explain.
31.05.2021 - 10:14DROPS Design answered:
Dear Diana, the body (teh two fronts and the back) are knitted in one piece until the armhole. Then the stitches divided, and the two fronts and the back is finished separately. So when you cast on (199 stitches for the smallest size), that includes stitches for the two fronts and the back. Happy Knitting!

Would size 14 be the large size on your pattern?
01.02.2014 - 12:16DROPS Design answered:
Dear Heather, you will see at the end of written pattern a measurement chart with all measures taken flat from side to side. Measure one of your similar garment and compare to the chart to find the matching size. Happy knitting!

I don't understand what this part means: "At the same time when the piece measures 10-25 [...] cm ..." Does it mean I'm supposed to decrease at 10 cm, 11 cm, 12 cm,..., 24cm, 25cm? Or does it mean I'm supposed to decrease the k8 sections ONLY during the 3rd row of the 4-row pattern repeat? Thanks

Hei!

When the piece measures 7-7-7-6-6 cm = 2¾"-2¾"-2¾"-2⅜"-2⅜" bind off for the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3-3-3-3-4 times, 1 st 2-3-3-4-4 times. Continue to bind off 2 sts each side until the piece measures 14-15-16-16-17 cm = 5½"-6"-6¼"-6¼"-6¾", then bind off 3 sts 1 time each side. Bind off remaining sts when the piece measures 15-16-17-17-18 cm = 6"-6¼"-6¾"-6¾"-7". Assembly: Sew shoulder seams, sew sleeve seams and sew the sleeves onto the back and front pieces. Sew on the buttons. Neck edge: Pick up approx. 84 to 98 sts around the neck (incl. the sts from the thread or stitch holder at the front). Knit 4 rows of garter sts and bind off. |
