Hei Camilla, Du har 97 masker før du setter in merkene. Tell 20 masker, merke i neste masken, tell 13 masker, merke i neste masken, tell 27 masker, merke i neste maske, tell 13 masker, merke i neste merke: 20 + 1 + 13 + 1 + 27 + 1 + 13 + 1 = 77. Da har du 20 masker igjen etter siste merket. Hilsen Drops Team

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): Knit all rows, from both the right and wrong side. 1 ridge in height = knit 2 rows. BANDS WITH I-CORD BEGINNING OF ROW: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1, work 4 garter stitches. END OF ROW: Work until there are 6 stitches left on the row, work 4 garter stitches, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1. Work in the same way from both the right and wrong side. BUTTONHOLES: Work the buttonholes on the right band (when the garment is worn) from the right side, when there are 5 stitches left on the row as follows: ROW 1 (right side): Make 1 yarn over, knit 2 together, knit 1, slip 1 purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1. ROW 2 (wrong side): Work the band as before, knit the yarn over to leave a hole. The first buttonhole is worked on the first row from the right side after the neck is finished. Then work the other 5-5-5-5-6-6-6 buttonholes with 5½-6-6½-7½-6½-7-7½ cm = 5½-6-6½-7½-6½-7-7½ between each one. Adjust so the bottom buttonhole is worked in the transition between the stockinette stitch and rib. RAGLAN: Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over, which is worked as follows on the next row: BEFORE RAGLAN-STITCH: Purl through the back loop to avoid a hole. Then work the new stitch in stockinette stitch. AFTER RAGLAN-STITCH: Slip the yarn over off the left needle and replace it the other way round (insert the left needle through the back when replacing it). Purl the front loop to avoid a hole. Then work the new stitch in stockinette stitch. INCREASE TIP (evenly spaced): To work out how to increase evenly, count the total number of stitches on the needle (e.g., 143 stitches) minus bands (e.g., 12 stitches) and divide the remaining stitches by the number of increases to be made (e.g., 30) = 4.4. In this example, increase by making 1 yarn over after alternately each 4th and 5th stitch. Do not increase across the bands. On the next row work the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. SLEEVE TIP: When knitting up stitches under the sleeve, you can get a small hole in the transition between stitches on the body and sleeve. This hole can be closed by picking up the strand between 2 stitches and working this strand twisted together with the first stitch between body and sleeve. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JACKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE. The pattern uses both long and short needles; start with the length which fits the number of stitches and change when necessary. The neck and yoke are worked back and forth with circular needle, from mid front and top down. When the yoke is finished, it is divided for body and sleeves and the body continued back and forth, while the sleeves wait. The sleeves are worked in the round, top down. NECK: Cast on 85-91-97-99-99-105-107 stitches with circular needle size 3 MM = US 2.5 and DROPS Merino Extra Fine. Purl 1 row from the wrong side. Work as follows from the right side: 6 stitches according to BANDS WITH I-CORD – read explanation above, work rib (knit 1, purl 1) until there are 7 stitches left, knit 1 and work 6 stitches according to bands with I-cord. Continue this rib for 3-3-3-3-4-4-4 cm = 1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1½"-1½"-1½". Insert 1 marker inside 1 band (mid-front), the piece is now measured from here. YOKE: Change to circular needle size 4 MM = US 6. Insert 4 markers as described below, without working the stitches, each marker inserted into a stitch (raglan-stitches). You increase on each side of the raglan-stitches. Count 16-18-20-20-20-22-22 stitches (= left front piece), insert marker-1 in the next stitch, count 13 stitches (= sleeve), insert marker-2 in the next stitch, count 23-25-27-29-29-31-33 stitches (= back piece) insert marker-3 in the next stitch, count 13 stitches (= sleeve), insert marker-4 in the next stitch, there are 16-18-20-20-20-22-22 stitches left for the right front piece. Work stockinette stitch back and forth (with the bands worked as before) and increase for RAGLAN on each side of the raglan-stitches – read explanation above. Remember the BUTTONHOLES – read explanation above. Increase for raglan every 2nd row a total of 17-18-19-20-21-22-23 times = 221-235-249-259-267-281-291 stitches. Remember to maintain the knitting gauge. Continue with stockinette stitch and the bands as before, without further increases, until the yoke measures 13-14-15-16-17-18-19 cm = 5⅛"-5½"-6"-6¼"-6¾"-7"-7½" from the marker mid-front. Now divide for the body and sleeves. DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: Work 35-38-41-42-44-47-48 stitches as before (= front piece), place the next 45-47-49-51-51-53-55 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 6-6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches (mid-under the sleeve), work 61-65-69-73-77-81-85 stitches as before (= back piece), place the next 45-47-49-51-51-53-55 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 6-6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches (mid-under the sleeve), work the last 35-38-41-42-44-47-48 stitches as before (= front piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately. BODY: = 143-153-163-169-181-191-197 stitches. Continue with stockinette stitch and the bands as before until the piece measures 27-30-34-38-41-43-45 cm = 10⅝"-11¾"-13⅜"-15"-16⅛"-17"-17¾" from the marker mid-front. On the next row from the right side begin the rib, AT THE SAME TIME increase 30-30-30-34-34-34-38 stitches evenly on the first row (do not increase across the bands) – remember INCREASE TIP = 173-183-193-203-215-225-235 stitches, working as follows: Change to circular needle size 3 MM = US 2.5, work the band as before, rib (knit 1, purl 1 – remember to increase) until there are 7 stitches left, knit 1 and work the band as before. When the rib measures 3-3-3-3-4-4-4 cm = 1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1½"-1½"-1½", bind off with rib. The jacket measures approx. 30-33-37-41-45-47-49 cm = 11¾"-13"-14½"-16⅛"-17¾"-18½"-19¼" from the marker mid-front and 33-36-40-44-48-50-52 cm = 13"-14¼"-15¾"-17¼"-19"-19¾"-20½" from the shoulder. SLEEVES: Place the 45-47-49-51-51-53-55 sleeve-stitches from one thread on circular needle size 4 MM = US 6 and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches cast on under the sleeve – read SLEEVE TIP = 51-53-55-57-59-61-63 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the 6-6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches under the sleeve- the round starts by the marker-thread. Work stockinette stitch in the round. AT THE SAME TIME, when the sleeve measures 2 cm = ¾" from the division, decrease mid-under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP as follows: Decrease 2 stitches every 3-4-5-6-6½-7-8 cm = 1⅛"-1½"-2"-2⅜"-2½"-2¾"-3⅛" a total of 6 times = 39-41-43-45-47-49-51 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 21-24-28-33-37-40-44 cm = 8¼"-9½"-11"-13"-14½"-15¾"-17¼" from the division. Change to double pointed needles size 3 MM = US 2.5. Work rib (knit 1, purl 1), AT THE SAME TIME increase 7 stitches evenly on the first round – remember INCREASE TIP = 46-48-50-52-54-56-58 stitches. When the rib measures 3-3-3-3-4-4-4 bind off with rib. The sleeve measures approx. 24-27-31-36-41-44-48 cm = 9½"-10⅝"-12¼"-14¼"-16⅛"-17¼"-19" from the division. ASSEMBLY: Sew the buttons onto the left band. |
