Scusate.

Repeat ROWS 2 to 5 until there are approx. 221 and then what ?

Hi Mika, Now you cast off, by casting off 2 stitches, making 1 yarn over which is then cast off as a normal stitch, casting off 2 stitches, making 1 yarn over which is cast off.....until all stitches are cast off. This gives you an elastic cast-off edge. Happy knitting!

I have a question about 180-25 pattern. how to repeat? if i continu i have 255 stiches after 30'rows, because of looping after every stich. Can you explain better?
16.09.2017 - 11:17DROPS Design answered:
Dear Brenda, you only repeat row 2-5 of the pattern, there are no row of holes in the shawl only increases/decreases at the beginning/end of the rows. I hope this helps. Happy Knitting!

Hej ! ? Med vänlig hälsning, Ingalill

Du ska sticka 2 maskor räta tillsammans, sedan 2 räta maskor, sedan 1 omslag och 1 rät maska.

INFORMATION FOR PATTERN: GARTER STITCH (back and forth): 1 ridge = knit 2 rows. STRIPES: Work entire shawl in stripes. Work 1 ridge with green/beige and 1 ridge olive/rust/plum *, repeat from *-* the entire piece. Do not cut the yarn between every stripe. Let the strands move up along the side of piece but make sure that they are not too tight. ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL: Work piece back and forth on circular needle. The entire shawl is worked in GARTER STITCH - see explanation above. Cast on 3 stitches on circular needle size 4 mm / US 6 with green/beige and knit 1 row. Now continue to work with increases, decreases and STRIPES - see explanation above. Work as follows: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit 1, 1 yarn over, knit 1, 1 yarn over and knit 1 = 5 stitches. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Knit all stitches and yarn overs. Switch to olive/rust/plum. ROW 3 (= right side): Knit 2 together (loosely), knit until 1 stitch remains, 1 yarn over and knit 1. ROW 4 (= wrong side): Knit all stitches and yarn overs. Switch to green/beige. ROW 5 (= right side): Knit until 2 stitches remain, 1 yarn over, knit 1, 1 yarn over and knit 1. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! Then repeat ROWS 2 to 5 until there are approx. 221 stitches on needle or work to desired length (make sure to have enough yarn for bind-off). To make an elastic edge, bind off as follows: * bind off 2 stitches, make 1 yarn over and bind off yarn over as regular stitch *, repeat from *-* until all stitches have been bind off. Cut the yarns and weave in ends. |
