Hei Sisi. Ja, det stemmer. I str.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- BANDS WITH I-CORD BEGINNING OF ROW: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1, work 5 garter stitches. END OF ROW: Work until there are 7stitches left on the row, work 5 garter stitches, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1. Work in the same way from both the right and wrong side. BUTTONHOLES: Work the buttonholes on the right band (when the garment is worn) from the right side, when there are 5 stitches left on the row. ROW 1 (right side): Make 1 yarn over, knit 2 together, knit 1, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1. ROW 2 (wrong side): Work the band as before, knitting the yarn over to leave a hole. The first buttonhole is worked on the first row from the right side after the neckline is finished. Then work the other 4-5-5-5-5-5 buttonholes with approx. 10-9-9½-9½-10-10 cm = 4"-3½"-3⅝"-3⅝"-4"-4" between each one. RAGLAN: All increases are worked from the right side! Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over, which is then worked on the next row as follows: BEFORE MARKER-THREAD: Purl the yarn-over through the back loop to avoid a hole. Then work the new stitch in stockinette stitch. AFTER MARKER-THREAD: Slip the yarn-over off the left needle and replace it twisted (insert the left needle through the back when replacing it). Purl the front loop of the yarn-over to avoid a hole. Then work the new stitch in stockinette stitch. INCREASE TIP-1 (evenly spaced): To work out how to increase evenly, count the total number of stitches on the needle (e.g., 180 stitches) minus bands (e.g., 14 stitches) and divide the remaining stitches by the number of increases to be made (e.g., 20) = 8.3. In this example, increase by making 1 yarn-over after approx. each 8th stitch. Do not increase on bands. On the next row (wrong side) work the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JACKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE. The pattern uses both long and short needles; start with the length which fits the number of stitches and change when necessary. The neck and yoke are worked back and forth with circular needle, from mid front and top down. When the yoke is finished, it is divided for body and sleeves and the body continued back and forth with circular needle, while the sleeves wait. The sleeves are worked in the round, top down. NECK: Cast on 96-100-100-120-120-124 stitches with circular needle size 5 MM = US 8 and DROPS Nepal. Change to circular needle size 4 MM = US 6 (casting on with a larger needle size makes the cast-on edge elastic) and work as follows ROW 1 (= wrong side): Work 7 stitches according to BANDS WITH I-CORD – read description above, purl until there are 7 stitches left and work these stitches according to band with I-cord. ROW 2 (= right side): Work 7 stitches according to bands with I-cord, knit until there are 7 stitches left, work 7 stitches according to bands with I-cord. ROW 3 (= wrong side): Work 7 stitches with I-cord, purl until there are 7 stitches left and 7 stitches with I-cord. ROW 4 (= right side): Work 7 stitches with I-cord, work rib (knit 2, purl 2) until there are 9 stitches left, knit 2 and 7 stitches with I-cord. ROW 5 (= wrong side): Work 7 stitches with I-cord, work rib (purl 2, knit 2) until there are 9 stitches left, purl 2 and work 7 stitches with I-cord. Continue the rib until the neck measures 6-6-6-7-7-7 cm = 2⅜"-2⅜"-2⅜"-2¾"-2¾"-2¾", with the last row from the wrong side. Insert 1 marker inside one band, mid-front; the piece is now measured from here. YOKE: Insert 4 marker-threads, without working the piece and inserting each thread between 2 knitted stitches from the rib (raglan-stitches which are continued in stockinette stitch). Count 20-20-20-24-24-24 stitches (= front piece), insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch, count 16-16-16-20-20-20 stitches (= sleeve), insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch, count 24-28-28-32-32-36 stitches (= back piece), insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch, count 16-16-16-20-20-20 stitches (= sleeve), insert 1 marker-thread before the next stitch, there are 20-20-20-24-24-24 stitches left (= front piece). Remember the BUTTONHOLES – read description above. Change to circular needle size 5 MM = US 8 and work stockinette stitch back and forth with the bands as before, AT THE SAME TIME increase for RAGLAN – read description above, before/after the 2 raglan-stitches by each marker-thread (in each transition between the body and sleeves) every 2nd row a total of 8-8-11-9-7-7 times = 160-164-188-192-176-180 stitches (= 8 increased stitches on each increase-row). Remember to maintain the knitting gauge. Then increase for raglan as follows: Every 2nd row on the front and back pieces and every 4th row on the sleeves (= alternately 4 and 8 increased stitches on each increase-row). Repeat these increases a total of 16-16-16-18-24-26 times on the front and back pieces (8-8-8-9-12-13 times on the sleeves). After the last increase there are 256-260-284-300-320-336 stitches and the yoke measures approx. 22-22-25-25-28-30 cm = 8¾"-8¾"-9¾"-9¾"-11"-11¾" from the marker mid-front. Continue working without further increases until the yoke measures 22-23-25-25-28-30 cm = 8¾"-9"-9¾"-9¾"-11"-11¾" from the marker. Now divide for the body and sleeves. DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: On the next row work as follows: Work 44-44-47-51-55-57 stitches as before (= front piece), place the next 48-48-54-56-58-60 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 10-12-14-18-20-22 stitches (in side mid-under sleeve), work 72-76-82-86-94-102 stitches (= back piece), place the next 48-48-54-56-58-60 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 10-12-14-18-20-22 stitches (in side mid-under sleeve), work the last 44-44-47-51-55-57 stitches as before (= front piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately. BODY: = 180-188-204-224-244-260 stitches. Continue with stockinette stitch and the bands as before until the piece measures 44-46-48-48-50-52 cm = 17¼"-18"-19"-19"-19¾"-20½" from the marker mid-front. On the next row from the wrong side, begin working rib AT THE SAME TIME increasing 20-20-24-24-28-28 stitches evenly on the row – read INCREASE TIP = 200-208-228-248-272-288 stitches, working as follows: Change to circular needle size 4 MM = US 6, work the band as before, work rib (knit 2, purl 2 – remember to increase) until there are 9 stitches left, knit 2 and band as before. When the rib measures 6-6-6-7-7-7 cm = 2⅜"-2⅜"-2⅜"-2¾"-2¾"-2¾", work 4 rows of stockinette stitch. Bind off with knit from the right side a little loosely. The jacket measures approx. 51-53-55-56-58-60 cm = 20"-21"-21⅝"-22"-22¾"-23⅝" from the marker mid-front and 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm = 22"-22¾"-23⅝"-24⅜"-25¼"-26" from top of shoulder. SLEEVES: Place the 48-48-54-56-58-60 sleeve-stitches from the thread on one side of the piece on short circular needle size 5 MM = US 8 and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 10-12-14-18-20-22 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 58-60-68-74-78-82 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the 10-12-14-18-20-22 stitches under the sleeve. Start at the marker-thread and work stockinette stitch in the round. When the sleeve measures 3 cm = 1⅛", decrease under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease 2 stitches every 7-7-4-3-2½-2 cm = 2¾"-2¾"-1½"-1⅛"-1"-¾" a total of 5-5-8-10-11-12 times = 48-50-52-54-56-58 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 39-39-38-36-34-32 cm = 15¼"-15¼"-15"-14¼"-13⅜"-12½" from the division. Change to double pointed needles size 4 MM = US 6. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2), AT THE SAME TIME increase 4-6-4-6-4-6 stitches evenly on the first round = 52-56-56-60-60-64 stitches. When the rib measures 6-6-6-7-7-7 cm = 2⅜"-2⅜"-2⅜"-2¾"-2¾"-2¾", knit 4 rounds, then bind off a little loosely with knit. The sleeve measures approx. 46-46-45-44-42-40 cm = 18"-18"-17¾"-17¼"-16½"-15¾" from the division. ASSEMBLY: Sew the buttons onto the left band. |
