Ensin kaarrokkeessa lisätään, sitten kavennetaan??
24.11.2025 - 19:07DROPS Design answered:
Piirroksen A.1 mallineuleen jälkeen kavennetaan silmukoita, jotta kaikilla silmukoilla voitaisiin myös myöhemmin neuloa piirroksen A.1 mallineuletta. Esim. koossa 3/4 työssä on kavennusten jälkeen 95 silmukkaa ja piirroksen A.1 mallikerrassa on 5 silmukkaa, eli kerrokselle tulee myöhemmin 19 piirroksen A.1 mallikertaa.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagram A.1. DECREASE TIP (for sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SWEATER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The neck and yoke are worked in the round, with circular needle, from mid back and top down. Stitches are increased on the yoke. The yoke is divided for the body and sleeves and the body continued in the round with circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles / short circular needle. NECK: Cast on 68-72-72-76-76-80 stitches with short circular needle size 4 MM = US 6 and DROPS Air. Knit 1 round, then work rib in the round (knit 2, purl 2) for 3 cm = 1⅛". YOKE: Change to short circular needle size 5 MM = US 8. Knit 1 round and increase 2-3-8-4-9-5 stitches evenly spaced = 70-75-80-80-85-85 stitches. Insert 1 marker; the yoke is measured from here! Work stockinette stitch for 2-2-2-2-3-3 cm =¾"-¾"-¾"-¾"-1⅛"-1⅛". REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! Work A.1 over all stitches. When A.1 is finished, there are 98-105-112-112-119-119 stitches. Knit 1 round. On the next round decrease 3-5-7-7-4-4 stitches evenly spaced = 95-100-105-105-115-115 stitches. Continue with stockinette stitch until the yoke measures 7-7-7-8-9-9 cm = 2¾"-2¾"-2¾"-3⅛"-3½"-3½" from the marker. Work A.1 over all stitches. When A.1 is finished, there are 133-140-147-147-161-161 stitches. Knit 1 round. On the next round, adjust the stitch count to 130-140-145-150-155-160 stitches. Continue with stockinette stitch until the yoke measures 12-12-12-13-15-15 cm = 4¾"-4¾"-4¾"-5⅛"-6"-6". Work A.1 over all stitches. When A.1 is finished, there are 182-196-203-210-217-224 stitches. Continue with stockinette stitch until the yoke measures 15-15-16-17-18-19 cm = 6"-6"-6¼"-6¾"-7"-7½" and on the last round decrease 6-8-7-10-5-4 stitches evenly spaced = 176-188-196-200-212-220 stitches. Now divide for the body and sleeves as follows: Knit 26-28-29-30-32-33 (half back piece), place the next 36-38-40-40-42-44 stitches on a thread (sleeve), cast on 6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches under the sleeve, knit 52-56-58-60-64-66 (front piece), place the next 36-38-40-40-42-44 stitches on a thread (sleeve), cast on 6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches under the sleeve, knit the last 26-28-29-30-32-33 stitches (half back piece). The piece is now measured from here! BODY: = 116-124-128-136-144-148 stitches. Continue with stockinette stitch in the round for a further 16-20-23-25-26-27 cm = 6¼"-8"-9"-9¾"-10¼"-10⅝" (or to desired length; 3-3-3-4-4-4 cm = 1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1½"-1½"-1½" left to finished length). Knit 1 round and increase 12-12-12-16-16-16 stitches evenly spaced = 128-136-140-152-160-164 stitches. Change to short circular needle size 4 MM = US 6. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 3-3-3-4-4-4 cm = 1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1½"-1½"-1½". Bind off loosely with rib. The sweater measures approx. 36-40-44-48-50-52 cm = 14¼"-15¾"-17¼"-19"-19¾"-20½" from the shoulder. SLEEVES: Place the 36-38-40-40-42-44 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on double pointed needles size 5 MM = US 8 and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 42-44-46-48-50-52 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the new stitches under the sleeve. Start at the marker-thread and work stockinette stitch in the round. When the sleeve measures 3 cm = 1⅛", decrease 2 stitches under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 4½-6½-8-8½-10-11 cm = 1⅝"-2½"-3⅛"-3¼"-4"-4⅜" a total of 4 times = 34-36-38-40-42-44 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 22-27-31-33-37-40 cm = 8¾"-10⅝"-12¼"-13"-14½"-15¾" from the division (or to desired length; 3-3-3-4-4-4 cm left). Knit 1 round and increase 6-4-6-4-6-4 stitches evenly spaced = 40-40-44-44-48-48 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 4 MM = US 6 and work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 3-3-3-4-4-4 cm = 1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1½"-1½"-1½". Loosely bind off with rib. The sleeve measures approx. 25-30-34-37-41-44 cm = 9¾"-11¾"-13⅜"-14½"-16⅛"-17¼" from the division. Work the other sleeve in the same way. |
