CROCHET INFO: Beg every dc round with 3 ch (not counted as 1st dc), finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1, A.2 and A.3. REVERSE CROCHET: Work as sc but backwards. I.e. crochet around from left to right ---------------------------------------------------------- BAG: The piece is worked in the round from bottom up. Work 4 ch on hook size 4.5 mm/ US 7 with light beige and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: READ CROCHET INFO! Work 11 dc in ch-ring. ROUND 2: Work 2 dc in every dc = 22 dc. ROUND 3: * 1 dc in next dc, work 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 33 dc. ROUND 4: * 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, work 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 44 dc. ROUND 5: * 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, work 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 55 dc. ROUND 6: * 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc, work 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 66 dc. ROUND 7: 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 78 dc. Insert a marker after round – NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! Then work according to diagram A.1-A.3, i.e. work as follows: ROUND 1: Work 4 ch (= 1 tr), 3 tr in first dc, skip 2 dc, * 1 sc in next dc, skip 2 dc, 7 tr in next dc, skip 2 dc *, repeat from *-* 11 more times, 1 sc in next dc, skip 2 dc, 3 tr in 3rd ch from beg of previous round, finish with 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg of round = 13 fans. ROUND 2: ch 1, 1 sc in first ch, * 7 tr in next sc, skip 3 tr, 1 sc in next tr *, repeat from *-* 11 more times, 7 tr in next sc, finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round = 13 fans. ROUND 3: ch 4, 3 tr in first sc, skip 3 tr, * 1 sc in next tr, 7 tr in next sc, skip 3 tr *, repeat from *-* 11 more times, 1 sc in next tr, 3 tr in 1st sc from beg of previous round, finish with 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg of round = 13 fans. Repeat round 2 and 3 until piece measures approx. 25 cm / 9¾" from marker. Continue to work as follows: ROUND 1: READ CROCHET INFO! Work 1 dc in each of the next 2 tr, skip 1 tr, * 1 dc in next sc, skip 1 tr, 1 dc in each of the next 5 tr, skip 1 tr *, repeat from *-* 11 more times, 1 dc in next sc, skip 1 tr, 1 dc in each of the next 3 tr = 78 dc. ROUND 2: * 1 dc, ch 1, skip 1 dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 39 holes. ROUND 3: * 1 dc in dc, 1 dc in ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 78 dc. ROUND 4: 1 dc in every dc = 78 dc. ROUND 5: ch 1, work REVERSE CROCHET – see explanation above, in every dc. Finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round. Fasten off. HANDLE: Work 6 ch on hook size 4.5 mm/ US 7 with brown and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Work 1 sc in every ch = 6 sc. Then work in the round with 1 sc in every sc until handle measures approx. 100 cm / 39½", fasten off. Pull end of handle through a hole at the top of bag from WS, make a knot from RS. Repeat on the other side of bag. TIE: Cut 10 brown lengths of 4.5 meters/5 yds each. Twine the strands tog until they resist, fold the string double so that it twines again. Tie a knot in each end - leave some cm's / an inch outside. Thread tie through eyelet row, tie a double knot over first knot in each end and make fringes at the end of tie. |
