Bon tricot!

I have tried the A1 over the 82 stitches several times - if I decrease 3 stitches evenly I come out with 77 stitches because of the 2 decreases in A1 - what am I missing?
03.03.2020 - 21:54DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Duseigne, A.1 should be worked over 82 sts decreasing 3 sts on first row = 79 stitches = ie work 1st row in A.1 as shown in diagram, at the same time, dec 3 sts evenly so that you get 79 sts for A.1. Happy knitting!

Hi, can you please explain A.1 over the first 82 stitches. Thanks
07.07.2019 - 03:56DROPS Design answered:
Dear Gina, A.1 is worked over 79 stitches, so that you will work the first 82 stitches on the row as shown in the first row in A.1, at the same time, decrease 3 stitches (so that you have 79 sts for A.1). Happy knitting!

Please help, I have frogged the first row of the pattern 3 times. I am supposed to come up with 79 stitches and come out with less. The only thing I can think of is that there is a k2tog in the middle section of the pattern (p1, k6 k2tog). Is this an erratta? Thank you for your help
20.08.2018 - 15:57DROPS Design answered:
Hi Nina, This is quite a complicated pattern, with a number of yarn overs which increase the number of stitches to offset the decreases. Make sure that you read the pattern carefully - you could write out the pattern in words until you get used to the diagram if that helps. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!
