Bon tricot!

SEED ST: Row 1: * K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*. Row 2: K over P and P over K. Repeat Row 2. PATTERN: See diagram M.1 (= 6 sts) and M.2 (= 6 sts). Diagrams show the pattern from RS. GARTER ST (in the round): K 1 round, P 1 round. GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. INCREASING TIP: Inc 1 st by making 1 YO. On next round K YO into back of loop to avoid a hole. -------------------------------------------------------- BACK PIECE: Piece worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 92-97-107-112-117-127 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on circular needle size 6 mm / US 10 with Nepal. P 1 row from WS, then continue as follows from RS: 1 edge st, K2/P3 until 1 st remain, finish with 1 edge st. Continue in rib like this. When piece measures 12 cm / 4¾" K 1 row from WS, AT THE SAME TIME dec 23-24-26-27-26-30 sts evenly on row = 69-73-81-85-91-97 sts. Change to circular needle size 7 mm / US 10½. Now continue in SEED ST – see above – with 1 edge st each side. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! When piece measures 15 cm / 6" dec 1 st each side and repeat the dec on every 5th cm / 2" a total of 6 times = 57-61-69-73-79-85 sts. When piece measures 45 cm / 17¾" inc 1 st each side. Repeat the inc when piece measures 50-51-52-53-54-55 cm / 19¾"-20"-20½"-21"-21¼"-21⅝" = 61-65-73-77-83-89 sts. When piece measures 57-58-59-60-61-62 cm / 22½"-22¾"-23¼"-23⅝"-24"-24⅜" bind off for armhole at beg of row each side as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1-1-3-4-5-6 times and 1 st 1-2-1-1-1-1 times = 49-51-53-53-55-57 sts. When piece measures 76-78-80-82-84-86 cm / 30"-30¾"-31½"-32¼"-33"-33⅞" bind off the middle 25-25-25-27-27-27 sts for neck and complete each shoulder separately. Bind off 1 st on neckline on next row = 11-12-13-12-13-14 sts left on shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 78-80-82-84-86-88 cm / 30¾"-31½"-32¼"-33"-33⅞"-34⅝". FRONT PIECE: Cast on 92-97-107-112-117-127 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on circular needle size 6 mm / US 10 with Nepal. All sizes: Continue in pattern like this. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 15 cm / 6" dec at the side as described for back piece = 75-79-87-97-103-109 sts. When piece measures 45 cm / 17¾" inc at the side as described for back piece = 79-83-91-101-107-113 sts. When piece measures 57-58-59-60-61-62 cm / 22½"-22¾"-23¼"-23⅝"-24"-24⅜" bind off for armhole at the side as described for back piece = 67-69-71-77-79-81 sts. When piece measures 72-74-76-77-79-81 cm / 28⅜"-29⅛"-30"-30⅜"-31"-32" bind off the middle 33-33-33-35-35-35 sts for neck, AT THE SAME TIME dec 12 sts evenly on cables on the bind off row (only dec on cables on the middle 33-33-33-35-35-35 sts) and now complete each shoulder separately. Now bind off to shape the neckline: 2 sts 1 time = 15-16-17-19-20-21 sts left on shoulder. When piece measures 76-78-80-82-84-86 cm / 30"-30¾"-31½"-32¼"-33"-33⅞" work 4 rows garter st on remaining sts, AT THE SAME TIME on first row dec 4-4-4-7-7-7 sts evenly on cables = 11-12-13-12-13-14 sts left on shoulder. Bind off. Piece measures approx 78-80-82-84-86-88 cm / 30¾"-31½"-32¼"-33"-33⅞"-34⅝". SLEEVE: Piece worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 47-47-52-52-57-57 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on circular needle size 6 mm / US 10 with Nepal. P 1 row from WS, then work next row from RS as follows: 1 edge st, rib K2/P3, finish with 1 edge st. Continue in rib until piece measures 10 cm / 4". K 1 row from WS, AT THE SAME TIME dec 11-9-12-10-13-11 sts evenly = 36-38-40-42-44-46 sts. Change to circular needle size 7 mm / US 10½ and continue in seed st with 1 edge st each side. When piece measures 12 cm / 4¾" inc 1 st each side. Repeat the inc on every 5-4.5-4.5-4-3-3 cm / 2"-1¾"-1¾"-1½"-1⅛"-1⅛" a total of 7-8-8-9-10-11 times = 50-54-56-60-64-68 sts. When piece measures 48-48-47-47-46-46 cm / 19"-19"-18½"-18½"-18"-18" (NOTE! less for the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulder) bind off for sleeve cap at beg of every row as follows: 3 sts 1 time each side, then 1 st each side until piece measures 57-58-58-59-59-59 cm / 22½"-22¾"-22¾", now bind off 3 sts 1 time each side. Bind off remaining sts. Sleeve measures approx 58-59-59-60-60-60 cm / 22¾"-23¼"-23¼"-23⅝"-23⅝"-23⅝". ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams inside 1 edge st. NECK: Worked in the round. Pick up 70-70-70-75-75-75 sts round the neck on circular needle size 7 mm / US 10½ with Nepal. P 1 round, then work 2 rounds GARTER ST – see above! K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME inc 14-14-14-15-15-15 sts evenly – See INCREASING TIP! (inc with 1 YO after every 5th st) = 84-84-84-90-90-90 sts. K 1 round, then work seed st on all sts. When neck measures 24-24-24-26-26-26 cm / 9½"-9½"-9½"-10¼"-10¼"-10¼" work 4 rows garter st on all sts and bind off. |
