Dear Mrs Stone, depending on how many stitches you will work, this may vary, but in all cases, you should always repeat row 2. this means you will always knit the purled stitches and purl the knitted stitches. Happy knitting!

Buonasera Lella, quel modello è stato disegnato per il filato DROPS Polaris. Se lo vuole lavorare in DROPS Snow, deve lavorare un campione e ricalcolare il n° di maglie necessario. Per le future richieste, le consigliamo di utilizzare i form posti in fondo alla pagina del singolo modello, altrimenti ci risulta difficile capire la richiesta. Buon lavoro!

Hola Ximena. Eso depende del patrón. La estructura del punto arroz hace que la prenda tenga más cuerpo, por lo que tiene diferente caída que una prenda con punto jersey. También tienes que tener en cuenta que los bordes de la prenda en punto jersey tienden a enrollarse. En este caso hay que trabajar las cenefas con punto musgo, punto arroz o punto elástico.

Chère Madame Sapnnagel, si vous augmentez 1 m à 4 m point de riz du bord et continuez ensuite au point de riz, le motif ne correspondra pas jusqu'à l'augmentation suivante. Si vous augmentez 2 m, alors vous pourrez continuer comme avant. Bon tricot!

In this DROPS video we show how to knit broken moss stich (1), the beginning and end of each rapport (1-4 round), how to cast on 20 new stitches to the in-laid loop, bind off and how to sew the bind-off edge together. We use smaller stitch numbers what it says in the pattern. We have already knitted 2 rapports (= 8 rounds) of broken moss stitches. These potholders are knitted in DROPS Safran, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. There are many varieties of Seed stitch and Double Seed stitch (aka moss stitch). Here we show a version which is worked with alternating K1 and P1 in width. But K2 and P2 over each other in height. We work 1 edge st each side in garter st (K on all rows). For the pattern to be visible, we have worked about 2"/5 cm before we continue as follows: SEED ST - DOUBLE IN HEIGHT: (remember K1 edge st each side) Row 1: * K1, P1 *, repeat from * - *. 2nd row: K over K and P over P. Row 3: * P1, K1 *, repeat from * - *. 4th row: P over P and K over K Repeat these 4 rows. To see a pattern with this technique, see: DROPS 135-39 or one of the picture to the left.

When you work double seed st you have 2 K sts next to each other, and 2 K sts above each other. Also 2 P sts beside each other and 2 P sts above each other. Work 1st row like this: repeat P2, K2 until end of row. Second row: K over K and P over P. 3rd row: P over K and K over P. 4th row: As second row. Repeat row 1-4.

When you work double seed st/moss st in the round on a circular needle you need to cast on a number of sts that can be divided by 4. Then you will get a nice transition between K and P sts all the way around, and you will not be able to see the beginning of the round. You work alternately K 2 and P 2 all way around. Round 1: work K2, P2 around Round 2: work K2, P2 around Round 3: work P2, K2 around Round 4: work P2, K2 around Repeat round 1.-4. It's a good idea to place a marker at the beginning of the round. In our video we show the end of 2nd round, the transition to 3rd round, and then the beginning of 3rd round.

When you are working seed st in the round on a circular needle or double pointed needles it's a great idea to work with an uneven number of sts. You will then get a good transition between K and P sts all the way around, and the beginning of the round will be invisible, You work alternating K1 and P1 around and around. On next round you will then automatically work K over P and P over K, which is what seed st is all about. Happy seed st knitting!

How to turn 1 strand into 3 from the same ball of yarn

In this DROPS video we how to make 3 strands out of 1 single strand from a ball of yarn. 1. Make a simple loop (like the loop worked when you begin any crochet project) and pull it to approx. 2-3 cm = ¾"-1⅛" in length. 2. Thread the strand from the skein through this loop, creating a new loop of approx. 40-50 cm = 15¾"-19¾". 3. Lay this loop alongside the working strand, so 1 strand becomes 3 strands. 4. Knit or crochet using these 3 strands until there is approx. 2 cm = ¾" left. Repeat points 2 to 4.
