25.01.2024 - 15:38DROPS Design answered:

09.03.2017 - 10:51DROPS Design answered:
Hoi Leonie.

Dear Mrs White, you will find all measurements in cm in measurement chart, remember to check and keep your tension while working. You can then adjust according to personal taste. Happy knitting!

DROPS sweater worked in stockinette sts and rib in the waist with “Muskat”.
DROPS 101-15 |
|
Garter sts: K back and forth on all rows. Stockinette st: K on rows from RS, P on rows from WS. Rib: *5 sts of stockinette st, 5 sts of garter sts*, repeat from *-*. Decreasing tips (apply for the neck shape): All dec. are done from the RS. The sweater is worked in reversed stockinette, so the purl side is the RS this means all dec. are then done from the purl side. Dec. as follows after 2 stockinette sts: P2 tog. Dec. as follows before 2 stockinette sts: P2 twisted tog. (knit in the back part of the sts instead of the front part). ____________________________________________________________________ Back piece: Cast on 86-94-104-114-128 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needles size 4 mm / US 6 with Muskat. K4 rows of garter sts. Continue in stockinette sts until the piece measures 18-19-19-20-20 cm. Knit 1 row and adjust the number of sts to 82-92-102-112-122 sts. Continue in Rib – see explanation above – with 1 edge st each side. Continue until the piece measures 28-29-30-31-32 cm. Then continue in stockinette sts with the purl side as the RS until finish, at the same time on the first row inc. the number of sts to 86-94-104-114-128 sts. When the piece measures 41-43-45-47-49 cm bind off 3 sts each side for the armholes. Continue to bind off on every other row as follows: 3 sts 0-0-0-1-1 times, 2 sts 0-1-3-3-5 times and 1 st 2-2-2-3-4 times = 76-80-82-84-88 sts. Continue in stockinette sts (purl side =RS) until the piece measures 56-59-62-65-68 cm. Work in garter sts over the mid 40-42-42-44-44 sts (work the other sts as before). Continue this way until the piece measures 57-60-63-66-69 cm and bind off the mid 32-34-34-36-36 sts for the neck. Continue to bind off 1 st towards each neck side – read decreasing tips – on every other row: 2 times = 20-21-22-22-24 sts left for each shoulder. Work until the piece measures 60-63-66-69-72 cm and bind off loosely. Front piece: Cast on and work as back piece, at the same time when the piece measures 41-44-47-49-52 cm work in garter sts over the mid 10 sts. After 2 rows split the work into 2 pieces at the mid front and finish each side separately (5 sts of garter sts each side of the neck). Left front: Continue until the piece measures 51-54-57-59-62 cm. Then K4 rows of garter sts over the 15-16-16-17-17 sts towards the mid front (work rem sts as before). On the following row bind off 13-14-14-15-15 sts towards the mid front of the neck. Continue to dec. 1 st at the neck side on every other row – see decreasing tips: 5 times = 20-21-22-22-24 sts left for the shoulder. Work until the piece measures 60-63-66-69-70 cm and bind off loosely. Right front: Work as left front but reverse. Sleeve: Cast on 56-56-56-58-58 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needles size 4 mm / US 6 with Muskat. K4 rows of garter sts – see explanation above. Continue in stockinette sts with the knitted side as the RS. At the same time when the piece measures 2 cm / ¾" inc. 1 st each side on every 2 cm / ¾" a total of 3-3-3-2-2 times = 62-62-62-62-62 sts. When the piece measures 7-7-8-8-8 cm continue in Rib with 1 edge st each side – see explanation above. Continue as follows until the piece measures 17-18-19-19-20 cm. Then work in reverse stockinette sts, i.e. with the purl side as the RS until finish measures. At the same time on the 1st row after the Rib inc. 1 st each side = 64-64-64-64-64 sts. Continue to inc. 1 st each side on every 7-3.5-3-2-1.5 cm a total of 4-7-9-11-15 times = 72-78-82-86-94 sts. When the piece measures 49-48-48-47-46 cm bind off for the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3-3-4-4-5 times and 1 st 2-2-2-4-3 times. Continue to bind off 2 sts each side until the piece measures 55-55-56-56-56 cm, and then bind off 4 sts each side 1 time. Bind off remaining sts when the piece measures approx. 56-56-57-57-57 cm. Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew in the sleeves. Sew the sleeve and the side seams inside the edge st. |
