Deretter begynner du å øke midt under ermet. Hilsen Drops Team.

When you start to decrease for the front neckline how are the decreases done. For example first row with 5 stitches one time are you to knit two stitches together 5 times at neck edge? Also after all decreases on front piece how many stitches are remaining? The second front piece done same way?
10.03.2024 - 22:34DROPS Design answered:
Dear Tammy, no, you should decrease as when casting off. So you would cast off 5 stitches at the neck edge. You should cast off 15 stitches in the front piece, so you would have 24-27 stitches remaining depending on your size. The other front piece is worked in the same way but mirrored, since you have to decrease on the neckline. So in one front piece you decrease at the beginning of the row and on the other one at the end. Happy knitting!

Hello, in the Edge section, where it says P5 rounds does that mean garter stitch for 5 rows because we are working back and forth on circular needles?
15.04.2022 - 01:34DROPS Design answered:

Edge: 3 cm = 1⅛" stockinette st on needle size 3.5 mm = US 4, P 5 rounds on needle size 6 mm = US 10 (= folding edge, measure piece from here), 3 cm = 1⅛" stockinette st on needle size 3.5 mm = US 4. Garter st pattern: *3 rows stockinette st, 2 rows reverse stockinette st*, repeat from *-*. Front and back piece: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 148-154 sts on needle size 3.5 mm = US 4 and work Edge. Change to needle size 6 mm = US 10, at the same time dec 16-14 sts evenly on row = 132-140 sts. Work 1 row stockinette st, at the same time insert 2 marking threads (MT) in piece to mark the sides = 35-35 sts on each front piece and 66-70 sts on back piece. Now work 10 vertical repeats of the garter st pattern, at the same time inc 1 st on each side of both MT (= 4 inc sts per row) on every 3rd row a total of 10-11 times = 172-184 sts. Remember the knitting gauge! After the pattern, complete piece in stockinette st. When piece measures 26-27 cm = 10¼"-10⅝" work next row as follows from RS: 39-42 sts = front piece, bind off 8 sts for armhole, 78-84 sts = back piece, bind off 8 sts for armhole, 39-42 sts = front piece. Now complete each piece separately. Front piece: = 39-42 sts. When piece measures 33-34 cm = 13"-12⅜" dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 5 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 times, and then on every 3rd row: 1 st 4 times. Bind off when piece measures 56-57 cm = 22"-22½". Back piece: = 78-84 sts. When piece measures 54-55 cm = 21¼"-21⅝" bind off the middle 26-26 sts for neck and dec 2 sts on neckline on next row. Bind off as described for front piece. Sleeve: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 36-36 sts on double pointed needle size 3.5 mm = US 4 and work Edge. Change to needle size 6 mm = US 10 and continue in stockinette st, at the same time inc 4-4 sts evenly on first round = 40-40 sts. At the same inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 23-23 times on every *other and 3rd * round alternately = 86-86 sts. When piece measures 40-40 cm = 15¾"-15¾" complete piece in garter st pattern. Bind off when piece measures 48-48 cm = 19"-19". Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Fold bottom and sleeve edges double towards WS and fasten. Pick up approx 115 sts along left front piece, from bottom edge to mid back on needle size 3.5 mm = US 4 and work Edge. Repeat along right front piece, but after 1 cm = ⅜", make 4 buttonholes evenly distributed. 1 buttonhole = bind off 2 sts and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Fold edges double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves, sew in outer loops of sts to avoid a chunky seam. Sew on buttons. |
