Do the raglan stitches go into the body or the sleeves when I put the sleeves on the holder? Love the pattern Thanks
29.05.2024 - 04:49DROPS Design answered:
Dear Holly, this might depend of the size, if you get the correct total number of stitches after all raglan increases, just divide piece as explained. Happy knitting!

I am trying to understand the number of increases as the number for body sleeves and raglan if followed seem to make too many. Also are raglan 11 sts included in sleeve or body when splitting ?
26.05.2024 - 13:29DROPS Design answered:
Dear Jo, the raglan markers would be located in the stitch with the arrow in A.1. So half of the chart would be in one part of the yoke and the other half in the body. A.1 is the 11 raglan sts and should be repeated 4 times in the round. In each row where you increase for the body you will increase 4 sts; in each ro where you increase for the sleeve you will increase 4 sts (since you will increase either before or after each repeat of A.1). So you would increase (for the smallest size) (13 +14)x4 = 108 sts for the body and (17+12)x4 = 116 sts for the sleeves. 130 initial sts + 108 body increases + 116 sleeve increases = 354 sts. Happy knitting!

Diagram A.1 = raglan maskene.

24.04.2024 - 23:04DROPS Design answered:

Insert 1 marker – NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE. Work in stockinette st in the round. AT THE SAME TIME after 3 rounds dec 2 sts mid under sleeve. Repeat dec every 4th round 4-4-4-5-5-5 times in total and then every 4½-3½-3-3-3-2 cm / 1¾"-1¼"-1"-1"-1"-¾" 9-11-12-13-13-16 times in total = 58-58-60-60-62-62 sts. When sleeve measures 48-48-48-47-47-47 cm / 19"-19"-19"-18½"-18½"-18½" (or at desired length), K 1 round while dec 2-2-4-0-2-2 sts evenly = 56-56-56-60-60-60 sts on needle. Work 3 rounds rib (= K 2/P 2). Then LOOSELY bind off sts with K over K and P over P. Work the other sleeve the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew the openings under the sleeves.
