Help needed pls after round 6 instructions are very dim I understand the continue in stripes and 1 round sc . Do you sc every round until approx length with no increasing or do you repeat round 4,5 and 6 the instructions are not clear at all on what to do after round 6.
21.11.2017 - 11:12DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Hartstonge, after round 6 you continue in pattern in the round, ie following "STRIPES", you will crochet next round with sc and light gray green - no more increase, just continue in the round until you get theh stated measurements (adjust after 2 rounds with sc). Happy crocheting!

Dus misschien even aanpassen in alle talen? Groet, Annette

Runde soll man in streifen weiterhäkeln.

I love these slippers! They are feminine and warm. I appreciate how you found a way to write the pattern so we could adapt it to our preferred size - you gave us the concepts so we could adjust the specifics. The pattern is not hard to read, but you do need to think as you do it. More intended for someone with experience crocheting. Thanks for a great pattern!

Je suis en train de faire ces chaussons. La laine Népal est une merveille. Sinon il faut 2 pelotes de vert/gris. Une seule ne suffit pas.

I was totally shocked with rudness of some of the comments above so I just wanted to do some justice to the author of the pattern description - The description is clear and easy to understand if you just stop for a second to think about what was said. By the way, I am only a beginer in crocheting and English is not my native language. Thank you very much for the lovely pattern!

CROCHET INFO: Replace first dc on every round/row with dc with ch 3 and finish round with 1 sl st in third ch. Replace first sc on every round/row with sc with ch 1 and finish round with 1 sl st in first ch. STRIPES: Do not cut the off white yarn, let it follow upwards but the other colors should be cut after every color change. 1 round/row with light gray green and sc, 1 round/row with gray green and sc, 1 round/row with off white and dc, 1 round/row with gray green and sc, 1 round/row with light gray green and sc, 1 round/row with off white and dc, 1 round/row with denim blue and sc, 1 round/row with medium blue and sc, 1 round/row with off white and dc, 1 round/row with medium blue and sc, 1 round/row with denim blue and sc, 1 round/row with off white and dc. Repeat these 12 rounds/rows. DECREASE TIP: Dec 1 dc by working 2 dc tog as follows: Work 1 dc in next sc but wait with last pull through, work 1 dc in next sc the same way, make 1 YO and pull yarn through all 3 sts on hook. ------------------------------------------------------ SLIPPER: Work from toe towards heel, then work the leg. With off white ch 5 on hook size 4 mm / G/6 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. READ CROCHET INFO! ROUND 1: 12 dc in ch-ring – beg of round = mid under foot. ROUND 2: * 1 dc in first dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 18 dc. ROUND 3: * 1 dc in each of the first 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 dc. ROUND 4 (switch to medium blue): Work * 1 sc in each of the first 3 dc, 2 sc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 30 sc. ROUND 5 (switch to denim blue): Work * 1 sc in every sc but inc 4-6-10 sc evenly = 34-36-40 sc. ROUND 6 (switch to off white): Work 1 dc in every sc. Continue in the round with STRIPES as explained above, i.e start with 1 round sc in light gray green. When piece measures approx. 12-13-15 cm / 4¾"-5"-6" - make sure to finish after 2 rounds with sc, cut the yarn. Insert 1 marker between the 2 middle sts on round, i.e. after 17-18-20 dc from beg of round. ROW 1: Hold the piece with toe towards you. With off white and starting from RS, work a dc in 4th sc after the marker. Work dc's until 6 sc remain on round (i.e. 3 sts on each side of marker mid on top of foot are not worked into). Turn. ROW 2: Continue with next color in stripe pattern – work 1 sl st in first dc, then sc until 1 dc remains on row. Turn. Then work back and forth with stripes over the remaining 26-28-32 sts until piece measures approx. 21-23-26 cm / 8¼"-9"-10¼" in total – make sure that next row is a row with off white and dc. Work next row as follows: 1 dc in each of the first 11-12-14 sc, then work the next 4 dc tog 2 by 2 – SEE DECREASE TIP above, then work 1 dc in each of the last 11-12-14 sc. Cut the yarn. Fold the slipper double and sew tog edge to edge mid back. LEG: Start mid back and work 40-42-44 dc with gray green evenly around the opening at the top of slipper. Continue in the round with dc until a total of 6 rounds have been worked. On next round, inc 8-9-10 dc evenly = 48-51-54 dc. Now work a finishing border to be folded over the leg. To make it look nice, turn the piece and continue to work from WS. ROUND 1: * 1 picot (= ch 4, 1 dc in first ch), skip 2 dc, 1 sc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round but instead of last sc finish with 1 sl st in first ch. Cut the yarn. ROUND 2: Switch to light gray green. Beg with 1 sc at the top of first picot, then work * 1 picot, fasten with 1 sc at the top of next picot *, repeat from *-* the entire round but instead of last sc finish with 1 sl st in first ch. Fasten off. ROUND 3: Switch to off white and work as 2nd round. Fold the 5 rounds at the top down over the leg. FLOWER: Work 3 flowers: 1 off white, 1 medium blue and 1 denim blue. Work as follows: ch 5 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Work next round as follows: * 1 picot (= ch 4, 1 dc in first ch), 1 sc in ch-ring *, repeat from *-* 5 more times = 6 leaves. Cut the yarn. Sew the 3 flowers to one side of leg. Work another slipper the same way but sew the flowers to the other side of leg. |
