ROUNDS WITH DC-GROUPS: Work every round with dc-groups as follows: * 1 dc-group in next ch-space, ch 1 *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. FLOWER - LARGE: Ch 16 loosely with 2 strands Vivaldi on hook size 5 mm / H/8, turn piece and work back as follows: 2nd-4th ch: Work 3 sc in each of the 3 ch = 9 sc. 5th-7th ch: Work 3 hdc in each of the 3 ch = 9 hdc. 8th-10th ch: Work 3 dc in each of the 3 ch = 9 dc. 11th-15th ch: Work 3 tr in each of the 5 ch = 15 tr. 16th ch: Work 5 tr in the last ch, cut and fasten the thread. Twirl the spiral into a flower and fasten it tog with a couple of stitches in the middle. Sew the flower on to the hat. -------------------------------------------------------- SCARF: Worked back and forth. Ch 38 loosely with 2 strands Vivaldi on hook size 5 mm / H/8, turn and work 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, then 1 dc in every ch = 36 dc (1st dc = 3 ch), turn. Then work dc-ROW - see explanation above - until piece measures 12 cm / 4¾''. Then work as follows: ROW 1: Work 3 dc in 1st dc, * ch 1, skip 3 dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 1, skip 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire row (5 times in total), but on last repetition work 1 dc in last dc on row (instead of 3 dc) = 10 dc-groups + 1 dc at end of row, turn. ROW 2: Ch 3 (= 1st dc), 2 dc in 1st ch-space, ch 1, work 1 dc-GROUP - read explanation above - in next ch-space on row, finish with 1 ch and 1 dc in last dc on row = 10 dc-groups + 1 dc at end of row, turn. Repeat 2ND ROW until piece measures approx. 168 cm / 66''. Work next row (= 1st dc-row) as follows: ch 3 (= 1st dc), 1 dc in 1st ch-space, * 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, 1 dc in ch-space, skip next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, 1 dc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times. Finish with 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, 1 dc in next ch-space, skip next dc, 1 dc in each of the last 2 dc = 36 dc. Then work dc-rows for another 12 cm / 4¾'', piece measures approx. 180 cm / 70'', fasten off. FLOWER - SMALL: Ch 12 loosely with 2 strands Vivaldi on hook size 5 mm / H/8, turn piece and work back as follows: 2nd-4th ch: Work 2 sc in each of the 3 ch = 6 sc. 5th-7th ch: Work 2 hdc in each of the 3 ch = 6 hdc. 8th-10th ch: Work 3 dc in each of the 3 ch = 9 dc. 11th-12th ch: Work 5 tr in each of the 2 ch = 10 tr. Twirl the spiral into a flower and fasten it tog with a couple of stitches in the middle. Work another flower the same way. FLOWER - LARGE: Work 1 flower the same way as on hat. ASSEMBLY: Sew flowers at the bottom on one side of scarf. |
