Roseliaj, yes cut yarn after finishing each ear flap and start with new yarn when casting on for hat. 1st row you knit on your ear flap is the right side.

When making the hat, do I cut the threads after making each earflap and placing on stitch holder? Also, when I cast on the first stitches for the earflap, will the first side I knit be the right side?

Directions say: dec by K tog approx every 3rd and 4th and every 4th and 5th st alternately. This means you first knit tog 3rd and 4th, then 4th and 5th, then 3rd and 4th, then 4th and 5th, and so on...until 21 sts are dec.

I'm having trouble reducing the stitches in the wrap from 93 to 72. It doesn't reduce equally, and your directions aren't that clear.
