Seed/Moss st in the round
You will then get a good transition between K and P sts all the way around, and the beginning of the round will be invisible, You work alternating K1 and P1 around and around. On next round you will then automatically work K over P and P over K, which is what seed st is all about.

Hej, du ska öka så att mosstickningen fortsätter med rm över am och am över rm. Ifall t.ex. följande maska efter ökningen ska stickas rät så ökar du en avig maska och om maskan efter ökningen ska stickas avig ökar du en rät maska.

Bonjour Mme Héroux, quand on tricote en rond, on tricote comme en spirale, avoir un nombre impair de mailles permettra au point de riz de bien se former correctement. Bon tricot!

Dag Els,
Er zijn verschillende manieren, maar bij gerstekorrel ontkom je er bijna niet aan dat het patroon verbroken wordt als je mindert in een muts. Om het patroon niet te verbreken zou je 2 steken kunnen minderen (ipv 1 steek), maar dan krijgt de muts een andere vorm. In dit patroon (als voorbeeld) is ervoor gekozen om na de eerste mindernaald verder te breien in een boordsteekvariant.

Det kommer an på om det skal være en ret eller vrangmaske. Der findes videoer som viser Tabte masker både som ret og vrang. God fornøjelse!

Seed Stitch: Double in height
There are many varieties of Seed stitch and Double Seed stitch (aka moss stitch). Here we show a version which is worked with alternating K1 and P1 in width. But K2 and P2 over each other in height. We work 1 edge st each side in garter st (K on all rows). For the pattern to be visible, we have worked about 2"/5 cm before we continue as follows: SEED ST - DOUBLE IN HEIGHT: (remember K1 edge st each side) Row 1: * K1, P1 *, repeat from * - *. 2nd row: K over K and P over P. Row 3: * P1, K1 *, repeat from * - *. 4th row: P over P and K over K Repeat these 4 rows. To see a pattern with this technique, see: DROPS 135-39 or one of the picture to the left.
